About the role
The Lead Brand Manager serves as the principal creative and strategic authority within the Content & Branding department. This role is responsible for shaping the perception, messaging, and development of every client brand under your purview. Additionally, you will oversee creative direction, ensuring final approval on the visual, auditory, and experiential elements of all content prior to its launch.
What you’ll do
Conduct all client onboarding sessions in collaboration with other heads of department, establishing the foundational tone from the outset.
Perform comprehensive brand audits for each new client, evaluating key elements such as tone of voice, brand personality, target audience, messaging pillars, and visual identity.
Assign team members to brands by carefully evaluating their compatibility, available capacity, and relevant expertise.
You will be solely responsible for maintaining the health and enhancing the perception of all brands within your portfolio.
Oversee the creative direction of all content prior to publication, pending final endorsement from the Head of Department.
Provide leadership and guidance to Junior Brand Managers by overseeing their briefs and fostering their professional development.
Develop and sustain a comprehensive grasp of HARD Media’s branding philosophy, emphasizing that branding is fundamentally about shaping perception.
Employ AI tools to enhance research, brand analysis, and strategy development with purposeful integration, leveraging their capabilities as a force multiplier rather than a mere shortcut.
Work collaboratively with Content Strategists to maintain consistency in written content, ensuring it accurately reflects each brand’s unique voice and guidelines.
You will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, demonstrating professionalism and confidence while independently securing new business and maintaining strong client relationships.
What we’re looking for
Proven expertise in brand management, creative strategy, or brand consulting, with a minimum of three years of hands-on experience.
A proven track record showcasing brand expertise spanning a minimum of three distinct industries.
Proven expertise in crafting content strategies that shape and enhance brand perception.
Possesses strong capability in leveraging artificial intelligence applications, including ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and similar platforms, for conducting in-depth research and formulating strategic approaches.
You possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, consistently crafting clear and compelling briefs that drive action and adherence among your audience.
Maintaining regular and clear communication with clients is essential, ensuring they are informed about project progress, potential challenges, and any necessary adjustments. This involves promptly responding to inquiries, providing detailed updates, and addressing concerns to foster strong, collaborative relationships. Effective communication also includes active listening to understand client needs and expectations fully.

Proven expertise in leading creative professionals, including writers, designers, and on-camera talent, is essential.
