Job Purpose

The MEAL Officer will spearhead monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning initiatives to uphold the quality of project implementation, ensure accurate tracking of results, facilitate evidence-based decision-making, and meet donor requirements. Additionally, the role involves conducting field-based monitoring, assisting with reporting efforts, and fostering organizational learning.

Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of duties essential to the role, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and standards. Develop, implement, and monitor strategic initiatives while maintaining a focus on efficiency and measurable outcomes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate seamless communication and drive project success through coordinated efforts. Maintain meticulous documentation and adherence to established policies and procedures to uphold compliance and operational integrity. Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Develop and execute Project MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning) plans, along with indicator tracking tables and performance monitoring frameworks to ensure systematic data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Accurate collection, verification, analysis, and reporting of project data must be ensured to maintain data integrity and reliability. This role involves meticulously gathering, confirming, and interpreting project data, as well as presenting findings in a clear and comprehensive manner.

Perform periodic on-site assessments to evaluate advancement, adherence to standards, and overall compliance with established protocols.

Evaluate the progress of project deliverables, results, and performance metrics to ensure alignment with established targets and objectives.

Conduct baseline, midline, and Edline assessments, surveys, and evaluations to gather critical data and measure progress throughout the project lifecycle.

Conduct routine data verification and validation processes to uphold and enhance data quality standards consistently.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports in accordance with established guidelines and deadlines.

Compile and systematically record feedback provided by community members for future reference and analysis.

Conduct learning reviews and facilitate reflective sessions to promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing among team members.

Deliver expert technical assistance in Monitoring and Evaluation methodologies to ensure accurate data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.
