Position Summary

Under the guidance of the Deputy Country Director overseeing Programs and in coordination with the Regional Technical Protection Coordinator (in a functional capacity), the incumbent is responsible for establishing thematic frameworks and methodologies integral to the Protection strategy, as well as their localized adaptation and implementation at the national level.

He/She plays a key role in programmatic oversight by spearheading the integration and monitoring of Protection indicators within the Nigeria Delegation, while also validating the indicators and their analytical insights.

He or she provides technical expertise and operational guidance to Protection operations, projects, and initiatives—or their various dimensions—at the delegation level.

He/She disseminates Protection-related knowledge and best practices to the TDI Nigeria Delegation teams through structured training and coaching initiatives.

He/She maintains and enhances knowledge management practices in alignment with Protection protocols within the delegation.

He or she guarantees that projects and interventions in Protection adhere to international standards and those set by TDI, ensuring both quality and alignment.

He or she is responsible for delivering technical support and maintaining program quality control in alignment with Protection initiatives within the delegation.

Specialized training in areas such as Child Protection in Emergencies (CPIE), evidence-based Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) interventions, safeguarding and Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA), child participation and empowerment, Gender-Based Violence (GBV), and humanitarian project management is considered advantageous.

Possesses a solid grasp of localization methodologies and collaborative programming frameworks.

Proficient in multiple languages, the ideal candidate should possess fluency in at least two languages, including English and an additional language such as Spanish, French, Mandarin, or Arabic.
