Job Summary
We seek a highly motivated and strategic Program Officer to join Reconnect HDI and support the advancement of our organizational objectives.
The Program Officer will be instrumental in facilitating the end-to-end administration of donor-funded initiatives, ensuring their punctual completion, strict adherence to financial parameters, and maximization of positive outcomes for our designated communities.
This role requires a dynamic officer skilled in engaging with community leaders at the grassroots level, conducting on-site assessments, and compiling comprehensive reports for institutional donors.
Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of assigned initiatives while ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Collaborate across departments to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency. Monitor progress through performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions. Prepare and present detailed reports to stakeholders, summarizing outcomes and recommending strategic adjustments. Act as a liaison between senior management and team members to facilitate clear communication and foster a productive work environment. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards in all deliverables.
Program Implementation and Field Management: This role involves the strategic execution and oversight of programs, ensuring their successful deployment in various field locations. Responsibilities include coordinating resources, managing field teams, and monitoring progress to guarantee alignment with organizational goals. The position demands proficiency in project management, strong leadership skills, and the ability to adapt to dynamic operational environments. A deep understanding of implementation frameworks and field-specific challenges is essential for driving efficient and effective program outcomes.
Provide support in the day-to-day implementation of project tasks by adhering to the established framework and approved work plans.
Regular field visits to project sites will be undertaken to assess progress, interact with beneficiaries, and verify that interventions are contextually appropriate.
Conduct and deliver instructional programs, seminars, and skill-enhancement activities tailored for local partners and community participants to bolster their operational effectiveness and knowledge base.
Overseeing grant administration and ensuring adherence to donor requirements represent key responsibilities for this role. The position demands meticulous attention to detail in tracking funding allocations, verifying compliance with stipulated guidelines, and preparing accurate financial reports for submission. Additionally, the role involves coordinating with stakeholders to facilitate smooth grant execution while maintaining transparent communication throughout the process. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in regulatory frameworks are essential to uphold accountability and sustain donor trust. Experience in grant lifecycle management and a commitment to ethical standards further enhance the qualifications sought for this position.
Collaborate on overseeing program budgets, track expenditure rates, and verify that all financial transactions adhere to established internal policies as well as rigorous donor requirements.
Provide support in the organization and oversight of staff attendance records.
Gather and compile reports while verifying that staff meet all programmatic and financial reporting requirements.
Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience, along with at least three years of hands-on experience in a similar role. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is required, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The ideal applicant will have demonstrated success in managing projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering measurable results. Excellent communication and organizational abilities are essential for effectively interfacing with stakeholders and ensuring project alignment with strategic objectives.
A bachelor’s degree in International Development, Social Work, Public Health, Human Rights, or a closely aligned discipline is required.
With a proven track record of 2 to 3 years in program management roles within NGOs, civil society organizations, or humanitarian initiatives, you bring hands-on expertise to the table.

Demonstrates outstanding written communication abilities, particularly in crafting grant reports and proposals, and possesses strong interpersonal skills essential for effective community engagement.
Demonstrates a strong willingness to travel to field sites as required by the role.
