Oversee the development and implementation of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Lead cross-functional teams to execute projects, maintaining clear communication and accountability. Monitor performance metrics and provide regular reports to stakeholders, identifying opportunities for improvement. Responsibilities include managing the plant’s financial operations, such as budgeting, reporting, financial analysis, forecasting, cost and revenue oversight, as well as fixed asset accounting.
Oversee the precision of the plant’s financial documentation while ensuring adherence to established financial management standards and applicable regulatory mandates.
Lead the execution of established finance policies within the facility, ensuring full compliance and operational alignment with approved guidelines.
Manage and facilitate the budgeting process while ensuring all plant business units adhere to established guidelines, elevating any deviations to the appropriate level for resolution.
Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of periodic management reports at the Plant to support informed management decision-making.
Conduct regular assessments to maintain, revise, and record monthly, quarterly, and annual financial projections as well as ratio analyses.
Facilitate cross-departmental coordination and communication to evaluate financial implications of projects, business models, and strategic plans.
Prepare financial reports in accordance with DCP Nigeria’s established accounting policies and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance throughout the process.
Oversee the comprehensive integration of business reporting needs, ensure the accuracy and reliability of data within the plant’s financial reports, and verify compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
Optimize the allocation of the plant’s financial resources to enhance cost efficiency throughout operations.
Proactively assess potential risks and develop and execute strategies aimed at preventing revenue leakage.
Ensure organizational policies governing fixed asset accounting are consistently followed at all times.
Guarantee that the facility adheres to all relevant tax regulations and legal obligations.
Oversee the cultivation and upkeep of key relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, encompassing local and international tax authorities as well as tax consultants.
Oversee the development of the department’s budget and grant final approval in accordance with established authority limits.
Deliver comprehensive leadership, strategic oversight, and guidance to ensure the department’s functions and activities are executed effectively and in alignment with organizational goals.
Compile and present regular activity and management reports to the Head of Finance, detailing the department’s operational progress and financial performance.
Key qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, along with at least three years of relevant professional experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team. Proficiency in industry-specific software and tools is required, and familiarity with current trends and best practices is highly preferred. Excellent communication and organizational abilities are also necessary to ensure seamless collaboration and project execution. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development to adapt to evolving industry demands.
A bachelor’s degree, or its equivalent, in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required.
Professional qualifications such as ICAN, ARCA, or an equivalent designation are generally expected for this role.
A senior-level background in manufacturing, preferably as a Plant Finance Manager, is essential. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in IFRS, financial modeling, and ERP systems such as SAP, along with exceptional leadership skills.
