The Packing Plant Operator oversees the seamless and effective functioning of machinery and processes within the cement packing facility. This position entails verifying that cement is accurately packed, measured, and shipped in alignment with production goals, all while upholding strict safety protocols, quality benchmarks, and cleanliness standards.

Oversee and execute a range of critical duties and tasks essential to the role, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and operational standards. Implement strategic initiatives while maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate seamless project coordination and delivery. Monitor performance metrics to identify trends, address gaps, and implement continuous improvements. Provide leadership in managing workflows, optimizing processes, and supporting team development. Serve as a key liaison between departments to foster collaboration and resolve operational challenges. Ensure adherence to quality control measures and regulatory requirements throughout all activities.

Maintain the packing target at 750 metric tons of cement per twelve-hour shift.

At the commencement of each shift, provide a detailed briefing to the Shift Manager and obtain any necessary directives or allocated tasks.

Facilitate a thorough and accurate shift handover and takeover process to maintain seamless operational continuity.

Operate packing plant machinery, including packers, autoloaders, and other equipment, with proficiency—ideally utilizing automatic (auto) mode.

Regularly verify the weight of cement bags to ensure they adhere to the 50 kg standard, promptly escalating any discrepancies to the Supervisor.

Safely arrange rejected or damaged bags in designated areas, ensuring they are properly organized and clearly labeled to avoid contamination or misplacement.

Ensure the packing area remains staffed at all times; attendance at the workstation is mandatory throughout operations.

Before departing the work area for any reason, ensure proper authorization is secured.

Ensure a clean and safe workspace by systematically removing rejected materials and upholding meticulous housekeeping standards.

Perform regular inspections of equipment and promptly notify the Shift Supervisor or Maintenance team of any mechanical or process-related malfunctions.

Facilitate clear and seamless communication, along with an efficient handover process, to the incoming operator as the shift concludes.

Comply with all organizational policies and safety protocols, encompassing ISO Management Systems such as Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OHSA).

Candidates must possess a minimum of three years of experience in a related field, along with a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Familiarity with industry-standard software and tools, as well as a commitment to continuous professional development, are also required. Prior experience in project management or a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams is highly desirable.

A minimum of a WAS/GCE/SSC credential or completion of a Trade Test at Level I, II, or III in a relevant technical discipline such as Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance is required.

Seeking candidates with a minimum of two to nine years of hands-on experience in cement packing, manufacturing processes, or other industrial operational roles.

Proficiency in interpreting, composing, and adhering to standard operating procedures is required.

Effective interpersonal communication and collaborative teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Capable of executing both physical labor and technical assignments with proficiency, maintaining a high level of physical fitness and operational readiness.

Demonstrated ability to maintain meticulous attention to detail while prioritizing safety protocols.

Demonstrates a proactive attitude toward acquiring new skills and adjusting to evolving machinery and operational procedures.
