We seek a strategic and dedicated Program Officer to join Reconnect HDI and play a key role in advancing our mission-driven objectives.
The Program Officer will be instrumental in overseeing the end-to-end execution of donor-funded projects, ensuring their punctual completion, strict adherence to allocated budgets, and maximal benefit for the designated communities.
Proficiency in community engagement is essential for this role, requiring the ability to collaborate effectively with grassroots leaders, conduct on-site assessments, and compile comprehensive reports for institutional donors.
Oversee a wide range of critical functions, including the development and implementation of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and fostering cross-departmental collaboration to drive operational excellence. Provide leadership in project management, monitoring progress, and delivering measurable outcomes while maintaining strict adherence to deadlines and budgetary constraints. Serve as a key decision-maker, analyzing complex data to inform strategy, and championing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies while cultivating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams, delegating responsibilities effectively to maximize individual and collective performance.
Program Development and Field Operations: Oversee the design, execution, and continuous improvement of programs while managing on-the-ground activities to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and operational standards.
Collaborate in the daily implementation of project tasks aligned with established frameworks and approved work plans.
Perform routine field assessments at project sites to track advancements, interact with beneficiaries, and verify the contextual appropriateness of interventions.
Design and deliver training sessions, workshops, and capacity-building programs tailored to the needs of local implementing partners and community members.
We are seeking a skilled professional to oversee grant management and ensure strict adherence to donor compliance standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing grant applications, monitoring funded projects, and maintaining transparent reporting meeting both organizational and donor requirements.
Provide support in overseeing program budgets, tracking expenditure rates, and verifying that all financial outlays adhere to established internal policies as well as rigorous donor requirements.
Provides support in managing and overseeing the attendance records of other staff members.
Compile and verify reports to ensure staff members meet both programmatic and financial reporting requirements accurately and consistently.
Seeking a candidate with a strong academic background and relevant professional experience in the field. Applicants must possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, along with three to five years of hands-on experience in [specific industry/role, if applicable]. Preference will be given to those with advanced degrees or specialized certifications that enhance expertise in the area. Prior experience in [specific tasks or environments] is highly desirable, as is familiarity with [relevant tools, software, or methodologies].
A bachelor’s degree in International Development, Social Work, Public Health, Human Rights, or a closely related discipline is required.
With a minimum of two to three years of hands-on program management experience in the NGO, civil society, or humanitarian sectors, you bring a strong foundation to this role.
Core capabilities include a robust understanding of financial principles, advanced analytical skills, and the ability to interpret complex data sets to drive informed decision-making. Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel is essential, along with strong written and verbal communication skills to convey insights effectively. Leadership experience is required to mentor teams, while project management expertise ensures timely and efficient execution of initiatives. Familiarity with regulatory compliance and risk assessment frameworks is necessary to maintain organizational integrity. Additionally, strategic planning and problem-solving abilities are critical to identifying opportunities and mitigating challenges.
Proven expertise in overseeing projects financed by institutional donors, coupled with meticulous adherence to their compliance requirements, is essential.
Candidates must demonstrate high emotional intelligence and an unwavering respect for diverse cultures, coupled with the capacity to collaborate productively with marginalized and vulnerable groups.
Possesses outstanding writing proficiency for grant reporting and proposal development, alongside robust interpersonal abilities to facilitate effective community engagement.
Field Readiness: Demonstrates a readiness and willingness to undertake travel to various field locations as required by the role.
