We are seeking a qualified candidate for a position based at our field office located in Lakota, Kofi State.
The position is initially offered for a one-year term, with the possibility of extension based on performance and organizational needs.
We will manage and execute all project activities within the defined boundaries, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and stakeholder expectations. This includes overseeing deliverables, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to achieve project goals efficiently and effectively. Additionally, we will conduct regular assessments to monitor progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain project momentum and success.
This initiative will engage individuals with disabilities, their family members, and other local stakeholders, along with government ministries, departments, and agencies at both state and local levels in Kofi state. It will also collaborate with Civil Society Organizations, including Disabled Persons’ Organizations (Duos), women and girls, Community Health Workers, and broader community members.
This initiative aims to enhance the capabilities of Odds, CSOs, FBS, government stakeholders, and media platforms in Kofi State to effectively interpret and apply disability laws through a coordinated, multi-sectoral, and Community-Based Inclusive Development strategy, thereby fostering greater awareness of the rights of persons with disabilities.
The Finance Officer position encompasses a broad range of financial management responsibilities, ensuring the organization’s fiscal health and compliance with regulatory standards. This role involves overseeing budgeting, financial reporting, and accounting processes, as well as providing strategic financial insights to support executive decision-making. Key tasks include managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling financial statements, and conducting audits to verify accuracy and integrity. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, proficiency in financial software, and a keen attention to detail, along with relevant professional certifications such as CPA or CFA. Additionally, the Finance Officer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial performance and mitigate risks.
Oversee and manage the project’s financial and accounting records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation within the established system.

Represents the organization in finance and fund management meetings, serving as its official delegate in discussions and decision-making processes.
Compile and submit financial reports in a timely manner.
Responsible for overseeing office operations, managing schedules, and maintaining efficient workflows to support business functions. Handles correspondence, prepares reports, and ensures compliance with organizational policies and procedures. Maintains records, coordinates meetings, and assists in project management as needed. Requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in office software. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are essential for interacting with staff, clients, and stakeholders. Prior experience in an administrative role is preferred but not mandatory.

Essential
Obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics, accompanied by a minimum of two years of professional experience post-qualification, is essential.
A professional certification such as ACA, CNA, or equivalent international qualifications like ARCA and CIA would be highly beneficial.
A strong understanding of financial and accounting principles and procedures is essential.
Skilled in utilizing financial software solutions, including QuickBooks and Promise, is required.
Proficient in utilizing advanced features of Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, data analysis tools, and automated macros to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
Proficiency in financial and tax regulatory frameworks is required.
Highly developed analytical and numerical abilities are essential, along with a strong aptitude for interpreting complex data and performing precise calculations.
