The Health and Safety Officer (Transport) ensures strict adherence to all health and safety regulations governing transportation operations at Denote Cement Transport. Oversee and execute various operational duties to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to organizational standards. Develop and implement strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity and achieving departmental objectives. Oversee the documentation of safety records and compile comprehensive reports detailing transportation safety performance metrics.

Collaborate with local authorities and regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to transportation safety standards.

Serve as an intermediary to address and resolve safety-related issues concerning the transport fleet and its drivers.

Oversee the performance of current safety initiatives and recommend enhancements as needed.

Attend safety meetings and provide management with pertinent safety data and insights.

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team, the ideal candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, along with a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in a similar role. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, as is the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. A recognized institution’s Professional Certificate or Diploma in fire, safety, health, or environmental management—such as BOSH, IGC, or NVQ Level 6—is highly advantageous.

Proficiency in fleet safety management principles is essential. Solid understanding of regulatory compliance and risk mitigation strategies for vehicle operations is required. Familiarity with industry best practices for driver training and vehicle maintenance is expected. Capability to implement safety policies and conduct regular audits is necessary.
