Main Functions

Assess and provide feedback on discipline engineering work, whether conducted internally or by contractors and subcontractors, to verify compliance with project specifications, organizational standards, and applicable regulatory mandates.

Ensures the proficient implementation of discipline-specific engineering and design processes in strict accordance with project objectives, goals, and established procedures.

Ensures precise and prompt information exchange among the Project Team and other organizational functions regarding discipline engineering activities, progress, and challenges. Beyond technical proficiency, candidates must exhibit strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal competencies.

Oversee and execute a range of duties and obligations associated with the position, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and operational standards. Handle key assignments such as project management, team coordination, and process optimization to drive efficiency and productivity. Maintain responsibility for monitoring performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective measures as needed. Foster collaboration across departments to achieve shared objectives and uphold accountability for deliverables.

In addition to executing Level 1 and Level 2 duties, Level 3 responsibilities encompass advanced tasks that demand heightened expertise and strategic oversight. This role requires a deeper level of problem-solving, independent decision-making, and the ability to mentor junior team members. Candidates must demonstrate proven experience in high-level project management, complex data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless operational execution and continuous improvement. Proficiency in specialized tools, leadership acumen, and a track record of delivering measurable results are essential for success in this position.

Manage control system lifecycle programs, encompassing inventory management, obsolescence planning, spare parts oversight, and strategic upgrade or replacement initiatives.

Support control system maintenance and testing activities as needed, execute software upgrades, conduct ESD testing, perform both offline and online testing, and coordinate related tasks—whether during plant shutdowns or regular operations.

Plays a pivotal role in organizing maintenance schedules for metering systems, with responsibilities spanning custody transfer, allocation, regulatory compliance, and leak detection applications.

Facilitate the planning and coordination of tasks pertaining to control system cybersecurity.

Conduct comprehensive assessments of systems to ensure adherence to the company’s Industrial Control System Requirements (CSR), thereby mitigating potential cybersecurity risks.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on comprehensive alarm management initiatives, encompassing alarm rationalization, prioritization, the creation of state-based alarm architectures, and the design or modification of alarm systems.

Review, enhance, and create instrument and control technical documentation and drawings, such as PIDs, cause-and-effect diagrams, and control narratives.

Conduct onsite visits to production affiliate offices and facility locations to provide hands-on support or implement new global support initiatives.

Seeking a highly skilled professional with relevant expertise to fulfill key responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications, including a minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field, along with a Bachelor’s degree in a pertinent discipline. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, is required. Additionally, excellent communication skills and the capacity to work collaboratively in a team environment are necessary. This role demands adaptability, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.

A Bachelor’s or Master of Science degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or in a closely related engineering discipline, is required, along with equivalent professional experience.

Demonstrates comprehensive expertise in discipline-specific design standards, technical specifications, applicable codes, and essential safety regulations.

Capable of assessing, refining, and maintaining cause-and-effect diagrams, PIDs, logic and architecture diagrams, as well as control narratives, ensuring accuracy and alignment with current standards.

Professional background in specifying, selecting, and applying hardware components such as pressure, temperature, and level instruments, control valves, shutdown valves, and fire/gas detection systems, with expertise in interpreting and utilizing ISA data sheets.

Proficient in gathering and evaluating data using standard database and analytical software solutions, including SAP, Analytics for Excel, and Tableau.

Demonstrated capacity to thrive under stringent deadlines, manage substantial workloads, and effectively adjust to shifting priorities with agility and resilience.

Skilled in utilizing the Microsoft Office suite of software applications proficiently.

Possess strong proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English, with particular strength in technical and business communication contexts.
