We seek an accomplished Sales Manager with a proven track record in B2B sales, specifically within the pharmaceutical and chemical industries. The ideal candidate will spearhead revenue growth by selling active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), chemical raw materials, and formulation products to pharmaceutical manufacturers, contract development and manufacturing organizations (CMOS), and other industrial buyers. This specialized role demands extensive knowledge of the pharmaceutical supply chain, with a focus on upstream operations—where raw materials and intermediates are procured to produce finished pharmaceuticals.

Job Details

Prospect and cultivate new B2B accounts specifically within the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry by engaging procurement professionals and key technical stakeholders to drive business growth.

We offer pharmaceutical-grade raw materials—such as active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), excipients, chemical intermediates, and formulation products—to manufacturers and contract development and manufacturing organizations (CMOS).

Oversee an established portfolio of pharmaceutical industry clients, driving expansion and maintaining exceptional levels of satisfaction to foster ongoing business relationships.

Devise and implement strategic territory sales initiatives in alignment with the company’s revenue goals and expansion objectives.

Facilitate engaging product demonstrations and in-depth technical dialogues with procurement officers, R&D teams, and quality assurance specialists within client organizations.

Responsibilities include finalizing pricing structures, establishing supply arrangements, and executing contracts, all while ensuring adherence to company policies and maintaining targeted profit margins.

Work closely with supply chain, regulatory, and technical teams to verify that products align with client specifications and comply with all applicable requirements.

Proactively analyze market dynamics, competitive actions, and client feedback to deliver actionable strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

Utilize CRM systems to meticulously document sales activities, pipeline data, and forecasting projections with precision and consistency.

Attend and actively participate in industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events as a company representative to enhance brand visibility and foster professional relationships.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related life sciences discipline is required.

We seek candidates with a minimum of four to six years of hands-on B2B sales experience, ideally within the pharmaceutical raw materials, API, or specialty chemicals sectors.

Proficient with pharmaceutical manufacturing methodologies, particularly the integration of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), excipients, and chemical inputs within drug development processes.

Proficiency in GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) principles, regulatory mandates, and quality benchmarks pertinent to the procurement of pharmaceutical raw materials is required.

Proven expertise in overseeing extended B2B sales cycles and successfully guiding complex purchasing decisions involving multiple stakeholders.
