Main Functions

Assess and provide feedback on discipline engineering tasks, whether conducted internally or by contractors and subcontractors, to confirm that all work adheres to project specifications, organizational standards, and applicable regulatory mandates.

Delivers discipline-specific engineering and design processes in strict accordance with project objectives, established goals, and standardized procedures to ensure optimal performance.

Ensures precise and prompt communication among the Project Team and other organizational functions regarding engineering discipline activities, progress, and challenges. Beyond technical proficiency, candidates must exhibit strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal abilities.

We are responsible for executing a range of duties and obligations, ensuring all assigned tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. Key responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, managing project timelines, maintaining accurate records, and providing support to team members as needed. Additionally, we collaborate with cross-functional departments to streamline processes and enhance productivity. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role. In addition to the foundational and intermediate duties, Level 3 encompasses a broader scope of responsibilities, requiring enhanced expertise, strategic oversight, and independent problem-solving capabilities. This advanced role demands a deeper understanding of complex processes, leadership in cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in specialized tools, advanced analytical skills, and a track record of delivering measurable results in high-stakes environments. Additionally, the position involves mentoring junior team members, optimizing workflows, and contributing to long-term organizational goals through innovative solutions and data-driven decision-making.

Oversee the end-to-end management of control system lifecycle programs, encompassing comprehensive control system inventory tracking, strategic obsolescence planning, efficient spare parts management, and meticulous upgrade and replacement planning.

Support system maintenance and testing activities as necessary, including software upgrades, ESD testing, both offline and online testing, as well as coordinating tasks with and without plant shutdowns.

We assist in organizing the upkeep of metering systems, encompassing applications for custody transfer, allocation, regulatory compliance, and leak detection.

Assist in the organization and facilitation of activities associated with the cybersecurity of control systems, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with organizational objectives.

Conduct assessments of systems to ensure adherence to the organization’s Industrial Control System Requirements (CSR), thereby mitigating potential cybersecurity risks.

Collaborate on cross-functional alarm management initiatives, encompassing alarm rationalization, prioritization, the creation of state-based alarm schemes, and the design or modification of alarm systems.

Review, enhance, and create instrument and control technical documentation and drawings, such as PIDs, cause-and-effect diagrams, and control narratives.

Visit production affiliate offices or facilities to deliver onsite assistance or implement new global support initiatives.

Demonstrated proficiency in relevant technical and interpersonal competencies, coupled with the necessary educational background and professional experience, is essential for this role. Candidates must possess a minimum of [X] years of experience in [specific field], along with a degree in [specific discipline] or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and the capacity to collaborate effectively within a team are required. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering—or a related engineering discipline—or equivalent professional experience is required.

Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of discipline-specific design standards, technical specifications, applicable codes, and critical safety criteria.

Proficient in assessing, revising, and maintaining cause-and-effect diagrams, PIDs, logic and architectural schematics, as well as control narratives to ensure accuracy and alignment with operational standards.

Proficiency in specifying, implementing, and adhering to ISA data sheet requirements for a range of instrumentation and control hardware is required. This includes pressure, temperature, and level instruments, as well as control valves, shutdown valves, and fire/gas detection systems.

Proficient in data collection and analysis with common database and software data analysis tools such as SAP, Analytics for Excel and Tableau

Demonstrated capability to thrive under stringent deadlines, manage substantial workloads, and adjust to rapidly shifting priorities with resilience and efficiency.

Skilled in utilizing the Microsoft Office suite of applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with a strong command of their respective functionalities to enhance productivity and efficiency in a professional setting.

Possess strong proficiency in English reading, writing, and speaking, with a particular emphasis on technical and business communication contexts.
