Job Summary

The Field Agent is tasked with driving customer acquisition, fostering savings mobilization, overseeing loan monitoring, managing collections, and maintaining strong client relationships within designated territories.

This position requires frequent on-site visits to customers’ residences, commercial establishments, marketplaces, and local communities to facilitate account initiation, verify loan details, track repayment progress, and foster business expansion.

Oversee core duties encompassing the execution of primary tasks and the fulfillment of essential functions, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Proactively source and onboard new clients for savings and loan offerings.

Responsible for initiating and managing customer accounts in strict adherence to established company guidelines.

Mobilize deposits and actively promote higher savings balances among customers.

Perform on-site assessments to facilitate customer onboarding and verification processes.

Evaluate clients’ operational performance and financial stability to determine eligibility for loan funding.

Conduct thorough verifications of addresses and guarantors to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Oversee the tracking of loan disbursements and the assessment of borrower repayment behaviors to ensure adherence to financial agreements.

Proactively track and manage both upcoming and past-due loan repayment schedules to ensure timely collections and mitigate financial risks.

Develop and execute strategies to recover loans from accounts that have fallen into delinquency.

Cultivate and sustain robust connections with clients as well as key figures within the community.

Consult with clients to provide detailed explanations of the financial products and services offered, ensuring they understand the features, benefits, and potential risks associated with each option.

Accurately document all customer interactions, collections, and field activities to ensure precise record-keeping.

Compile field reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to document activities, observations, and findings.

Achieve predetermined customer acquisition, savings mobilization, and loan recovery objectives within the specified timeframe.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree, HND, or OND in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related discipline is required.

Seeking candidates with 2 to 5 years of professional experience in roles such as Field Agent, Credit Officer, Loan Officer, or Savings Mobilization Officer, or comparable positions.

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, along with a talent for fostering collaborative relationships, are essential.

Proven expertise in negotiation and debt recovery, with a demonstrated ability to secure favorable outcomes.

Demonstrates a strong capacity for autonomous work while consistently achieving established goals.

Possesses a comprehensive understanding of the regional market dynamics and commercial landscape.

Possesses a fundamental understanding of lending and savings processes.

Skilled in operating smartphones and utilizing digital data collection applications effectively.
