The Territory Development Officer (TO) drives lease and asset finance growth by conducting structured market research, proactively building pipelines, generating high-quality leads, and meticulously tracking competitor activity.

Focused on field-based business development, it plays a pivotal role in driving the organization’s expansion of both its client network and loan portfolio, with performance directly tied to measurable KPIs.

Analyze local market conditions to gain comprehensive insights into the demand for lease and asset finance solutions, focusing on the company’s product offerings, target client demographics, prevailing economic trends, and unexplored sales opportunities.

Identify all three-wheeler tricycle parks within the designated geographic area and compile a list of the respective Branch Chairmen and Park Chairmen. Additionally, map key clusters of potential clients, including individual operators, small businesses, and traders.

Spearhead the creation and management of robust pipeline development processes to drive operational efficiency and strategic growth initiatives. Establish and maintain frameworks that streamline workflows, enhance collaboration across departments, and ensure alignment with overarching business objectives. Implement advanced methodologies and technologies to optimize pipeline performance, mitigate risks, and capitalize on emerging opportunities. Lead cross-functional teams in executing pipeline strategies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and monitoring key performance indicators to measure success.

Identify prospective clients who demonstrate robust repayment capabilities, consistent income and expense patterns, and reliable guarantors.

Develop and sustain a robust lead generation pipeline comprising at least 100 prospects, ensuring that 30 of these are ‘hot’ leads with a strong likelihood of securing financing approval.

Responsibilities include segmenting a pool of 100 leads into hot, warm, or cold categories by evaluating their credit preparedness, financing requirements, and level of urgency.

Daily, the pipeline must be updated to verify that the following details have been gathered for each lead and guarantor:

Proficiency in data collection tools, analytical frameworks, and industry research is required to deliver actionable insights that support business growth and competitive advantage.

Continuously track and record competitor activities in the designated territory, documenting key developments, pricing adjustments, promotional initiatives, and any shifts in market positioning.

Developing and executing effective sales, marketing, and promotional strategies and campaigns is essential to driving business growth and enhancing brand visibility.

The deposit amounts required initially, along with the daily or weekly repayment schedules and the total loan tenure, are clearly outlined in the terms.

Loan terms and conditions encompass the contractual obligations, interest rates, repayment schedules, and associated fees that govern the borrowing and lending of funds between a financial institution and a borrower. These parameters define the legal and financial framework, including eligibility criteria, collateral requirements, default consequences, and any penalties for early repayment or late payments. Additionally, they outline the rights and responsibilities of all parties involved, ensuring transparency and compliance with regulatory standards throughout the duration of the loan.

Required ualifications

G Experience:

A high school completion certificate is mandatory; possessing a diploma or degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or a related discipline is advantageous.

With a minimum of two to five years of hands-on experience in field sales, business development, microfinance, asset finance, or comparable industries, you will bring a proven track record of success in driving revenue growth and expanding market reach.

Demonstrated expertise in developing and overseeing sales pipelines is essential.

Possesses a solid grasp of lead generation strategies, client qualification methodologies, and sales funnel optimization techniques.
