Position Summary
The Senior PR and Communications Officer will be responsible for enhancing the organization’s visibility, credibility, and public perception. This role involves leading the development and execution of strategic communication initiatives, maintaining seamless internal and external communication, managing digital platforms, cultivating media relationships, and ensuring cohesive, compelling storytelling across all communication avenues.
This role seeks a strategic communications expert capable of elevating the organization’s visibility, deepening stakeholder relationships, advancing advocacy initiatives, and aligning all communication efforts with LGCF’s mission, programs, and strategic objectives.
Seeking a candidate with a strong academic background in finance, accounting, or a related field, complemented by relevant professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or ARCA. Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and advanced Excel is essential, along with experience in financial reporting and regulatory compliance. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Prior experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, or investment management is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a keen analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
A Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Communications, Journalism, English, or a related discipline is required.
A minimum of five years of pertinent professional experience within a comparable position, ideally gained within a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), is required.
