Main Functions

Assess and provide feedback on discipline engineering deliverables, whether produced internally or by contractors and subcontractors, to verify adherence to project specifications, corporate standards, and applicable regulatory obligations.

Delivers disciplined engineering and design processes in strict accordance with project goals, objectives, and established procedures.

Ensures precise and prompt exchange of information among the Project Team and other organizational functions regarding discipline engineering activities, progress, and challenges. Alongside technical proficiency, candidates must exhibit strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal capabilities.

Conducts a range of duties and fulfills key responsibilities, ensuring efficient operation and adherence to established protocols. Manages daily functions, executes assigned tasks with precision, and maintains consistent performance standards. Collaborates with team members to achieve organizational objectives, fostering a productive and cohesive work environment. Handles complex assignments, resolves challenges proactively, and contributes to strategic initiatives that drive continuous improvement. Demonstrates accountability, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in alignment with company goals.

In addition to performing the duties and responsibilities outlined for Levels 1 and 2, Level 3 encompasses more advanced and specialized tasks, requiring a higher degree of expertise, autonomy, and leadership. This role involves overseeing complex projects, mentoring junior team members, and making strategic decisions that drive operational efficiency and business growth. Candidates must demonstrate a proven track record in managing high-impact initiatives, resolving intricate challenges, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational objectives.

Oversee comprehensive control system lifecycle management initiatives, encompassing inventory tracking, obsolescence mitigation strategies, spare parts management, and systematic upgrade or replacement planning.

Support control system maintenance and develop test plans as needed, perform software upgrades, conduct ESD testing, and execute both offline and online tests. Additionally, collaborate on activities whether plant shutdowns are involved.

This role involves overseeing the upkeep of metering systems, with a focus on custody transfer, allocation, regulatory compliance, and leak detection applications. Responsibilities include coordinating maintenance schedules, ensuring operational reliability, and adhering to industry standards to support accurate measurement and reporting.

Assist in the planning and coordination of activities associated with control system cybersecurity to ensure robust protection and operational integrity.

Conduct thorough evaluations of systems to ensure adherence to the company’s Industrial Control System Requirements (CSR), thereby mitigating potential cybersecurity risks.

Collaborate in cross-functional alarm management initiatives, encompassing alarm rationalization, prioritization, the creation of state-based alarm schemes, and the design or modification of alarm systems.

Review, revise, and generate instrument and control system technical documentation and drawings, such as PIDs, cause-and-effect diagrams, and control narratives, to ensure accuracy and alignment with project specifications.

Visit production affiliate offices and facilities to deliver onsite assistance or implement new global support initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Minimum of five years of professional experience in software development, with at least two years in a leadership or mentoring role
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including but not limited to Python, Java, or C++
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a track record of delivering scalable, high-performance solutions
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
• Commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Passion for continuous learning and staying updated with emerging technologies and industry trends

A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline, is required, along with equivalent professional experience.

Professionals in this role must demonstrate a comprehensive grasp of discipline-specific design standards, technical specifications, applicable codes, and essential safety requirements to ensure compliance and operational integrity.

Capable of scrutinizing, assessing, and revising cause-and-effect relationships, PIDs, logic and architecture diagrams, as well as control narratives, to ensure accuracy and alignment with project requirements.

Requires expertise in selecting, implementing, and specifying hardware components based on ISA data sheets, encompassing pressure, temperature, and level instruments, as well as control valves, shutdown valves, and fire/gas detection systems.

Proven expertise in gathering and interpreting data using widely used database platforms and analytical software, including SAP, Excel Analytics, and Tableau.

Adaptability is essential to thrive under tight deadlines, manage substantial workloads, and navigate shifting priorities effectively.

Skilled in utilizing the Microsoft Office software suite effectively.

Fluent proficiency in English—both written and spoken—is essential, particularly for technical and business contexts.
