Observes and reports any observed deviations in machine performance to the technical team, ensuring breakdowns are addressed promptly and resolved with lasting solutions.
After each production run on the designated lines, the individual ensures the machine startup timing aligns with the planned schedule by completing machine preparation efficiently and punctually.
Demonstrates accountability for minimizing waste across all assigned work areas through systematic assessment and streamlined processes.
Ensures full compliance with GMP/GHK standards throughout each shift, meticulously transitioning responsibilities to the next team with complete adherence to these regulations. Conducts GMP audits consistently in accordance with the established weekly schedule and performs Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAP) as integral components of the GMP/GHK audit process.
Grasps the financial implications that waste in raw materials poses to both product profitability and overall plant performance.
Ensures uncompromising commitment to quality across all facets of work, including product integrity, professional conduct, and clear, effective communication.
Maintains a clean uniform at all times and strictly adheres to 100% personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements while on the shop floor. Additionally, refrains from wearing any jewelry in production areas to ensure safety and compliance with established protocols.
Ensures strict adherence to a no-drinking or eating policy on production lines and requires immediate cleaning of the lines throughout each shift.
The incumbent is responsible for documenting and reporting all near misses and non-conformances observed during their shift and ensures follow-up with the appropriate personnel to achieve resolution.
Maintains strict adherence to all quality control specifications throughout each shift, verifying that critical parameters—including Brix levels, carbonation, full height, label alignment, and packaging material integrity—remain within established tolerances. Additionally, performs thorough inspections and sorting of packaging materials prior to use to ensure compliance with quality standards.
The incumbent is tasked with managing raw and packaging materials on the production floor, guaranteeing they are correctly prepared for use and overseeing their appropriate utilization throughout operations.
Ensures the timely availability of products and immediately escalates any potential delays that could disrupt production to the shift team leader.
Ensures strict adherence to the requirements of the SBC, ISO 9001 quality management system, and all other applicable management systems and Performance Improvement (PI) Standards.
He or she must rigorously comply with all statutory, regulatory, safety, and environmental mandates to uphold organizational and industry standards.
The shift team leader is notified promptly regarding any requirement for additional working tools, and diligent oversight is maintained to ensure proper controls and safeguarding of all tools.
Any non-conformity detected throughout the production process must be escalated promptly in accordance with the established escalation matrix.
Records each machine-related occurrence in the production log book and completes all necessary documentation on the shop floor.
Ensures constant adherence to machine guarding protocols and the operational functionality of safety interlocks throughout each production shift.
Drives and champions the effectiveness of maintenance initiatives within their designated area of responsibility.
Serves as a safety advocate while adhering to all health and safety protocols for both personal conduct and machine operation. Responsibilities include ensuring that all machine guarding systems are properly installed and maintained on assigned equipment.
Builds and nurtures collaborative partnerships across teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication.
Establishes and strengthens collaborative partnerships with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Production Planning, as well as pertinent government regulatory agencies and their designated representatives.
Drives innovation in production equipment through relentless pursuit of process improvement, leveraging global benchmarks, industry standards, and employee feedback to enhance operational efficiency and technological advancement.
Adopts and applies industry-leading methodologies from external sources while disseminating internal best practices throughout the SBC to enhance collective performance.

Requirements
A minimum requirement includes an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Food Sciences, Engineering, or General Sciences.
A minimum of one to three years of practical experience in FMCG operations and maintenance is required.
Proficiency in bottling processes is essential for this role, encompassing an understanding of production line workflows, equipment operation, quality control measures, and adherence to safety protocols throughout the bottling cycle.
A strong grasp of how decisions influence financial outcomes is essential for this role. The ability to evaluate the fiscal consequences of various choices is required. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in assessing financial impacts and incorporating this insight into their decision-making processes.
