Position Overview
As a Production Technician, your role will involve overseeing the daily operations, monitoring, and routine maintenance of our industrial dehydration systems—such as tray dryers, belt dryers, and freeze-drying units. You will be tasked with ensuring these machines operate at peak efficiency while upholding rigorous food safety protocols and meeting defined production yield goals with minimal waste.
Oversee and execute a range of critical duties, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and maintaining high standards of performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success, fostering innovation and efficiency throughout all processes. Manage and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines, while upholding accountability and attention to detail in every operation. Monitor progress and provide actionable feedback to enhance team productivity and overall outcomes. Serve as a key liaison to stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and ensuring alignment on objectives and deliverables.
Operate and monitor a variety of equipment to ensure efficient functionality and adherence to operational standards. Responsibilities include performing routine checks, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining equipment in optimal working condition. Must have experience with relevant machinery, strong technical skills, and the ability to follow safety protocols. Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities are essential for identifying and resolving equipment-related challenges promptly.
Operate, monitor, and adjust industrial food dehydration systems in accordance with established product specifications and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Monitor critical control points (CCPs), including air temperature, humidity levels, air velocity, and drying durations, to verify precise moisture content and maintain product quality.
Conduct thorough pre-startup inspections and calibration procedures on dehydration equipment prior to the initiation of each operational cycle.
Quality Assurance and Food Safety professionals ensure the highest standards of product integrity and regulatory compliance are met across all operations. They conduct rigorous inspections, testing, and audits to verify adherence to food safety protocols, industry regulations, and internal quality standards. Responsibilities include developing and implementing robust quality control measures, investigating deviations, and leading corrective actions to mitigate risks. Collaboration with production, operations, and cross-functional teams is essential to maintain consistency, address non-conformances, and drive continuous improvement in food safety practices. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of food safety regulations and quality management systems are required. Proficiency in documentation, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes is also necessary.
Ensure full compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP guidelines, and the company’s established food safety protocols.
Perform routine quality assessments on incoming raw materials prior to the drying process and completed dehydrated products, evaluating key parameters such as moisture content, texture, and visual conformity.
Maintain accurate records of all process parameters, production yields, and quality deviations within the batch documentation.
Responsible for conducting maintenance tasks and resolving technical issues as they arise.
Conduct regular preventive maintenance (PM) on dehydration systems, conveyor mechanisms, slicing cutters, and sorting equipment.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical or operational issues with urgency to reduce production stoppages.
Collaborate closely with the maintenance engineering team to execute intricate repairs or perform comprehensive system overhauls.
Ensures adherence to sanitation and safety standards in all operational processes to maintain a hygienic and secure environment. Conducts routine inspections, identifies potential hazards, and implements corrective measures to mitigate risks. Monitors compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies, documenting findings and reporting discrepancies for resolution. Collaborates with team members to enforce hygiene protocols, including proper handwashing, equipment sanitation, and waste disposal. Trains staff on safety procedures and emergency response protocols to foster a culture of awareness and accountability. Maintains accurate records of inspections, training sessions, and corrective actions for audits and continuous improvement.
Execute clean-in-place (CIP) and manual sanitation procedures for dehydration chambers, associated ducts, and all food-contact surfaces to ensure compliance with hygiene standards.
Ensure adherence to 5S standards by maintaining a consistently clean, well-organized, and safe work environment.
Ensure the consistent use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhere meticulously to all occupational health and safety protocols.
