Monitor critical control points—including air temperature, humidity levels, air velocity, and drying times—to verify that products achieve the desired moisture content and maintain high standards of quality.
Conduct thorough pre-startup inspections and perform precise calibration of dehydration equipment prior to each operational cycle.
Ensures adherence to rigorous quality assurance and food safety protocols throughout all operational processes, safeguarding product integrity and consumer well-being. Reviews and updates standard operating procedures (SOPs) to align with industry regulations and best practices. Conducts comprehensive inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards. Maintain full compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) guidelines, and the company’s established food safety protocols.
Perform routine quality inspections on both incoming raw materials prior to the drying process and the final dehydrated products, assessing parameters such as moisture content, texture, and visual integrity.
Document and maintain detailed records of all process parameters, production yields, and any deviations in quality within the batch documentation.
Perform routine maintenance and resolve technical issues to ensure optimal system functionality and minimize downtime.
Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) on dehydration equipment, conveyors, slice cutters, and sorting machinery.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical or operational issues with urgency to reduce production downtime effectively.
Collaborate closely with the maintenance engineering team to address intricate repairs or perform comprehensive system overhauls.
Maintains stringent sanitation and safety standards to ensure a clean, hazard-free environment. Monitors compliance with health regulations, conducts regular inspections, and addresses any violations promptly. Implements and enforces safety protocols, including proper handling of equipment and materials. Trains staff on hygiene practices, emergency procedures, and regulatory requirements to minimize risks and promote workplace safety. Perform clean-in-place (CIP) and manual sanitation procedures on dehydration chambers, associated ducts, and all food-contact surfaces to maintain optimal hygiene standards.

Ensure compliance with all occupational health and safety regulations by wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.

Proficiency in operating industrial dehydration systems is highly advantageous.
Proficiency in Food Safety systems, including HACCP, SF, BRC, or ISO 22000, as well as adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards, is required.
