Handle and promptly respond to guest repair requests.
Interact professionally with guests and customers to independently address and resolve maintenance-related concerns with minimal oversight.
Conduct regular upkeep tasks, such as cleaning and applying lubricants, on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Carry out thorough visual examinations of tools, equipment, and machinery to identify any potential issues or wear.
Responsibilities include transporting necessary equipment such as tools and radios, as well as locating, identifying, and operating all shut-off valves associated with both equipment and building systems.
Responsible for managing maintenance inventory and procuring necessary parts and supplies as required.
Ensure that all daily activities and issues arising are conveyed to the subsequent shifts through established communication programs and protocols.
Demonstrate expertise in at least one of the listed areas, along with strong competencies in two additional categories and foundational knowledge in the remaining fields, including air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and general building management.
Proficient in the safe and effective use of hand and power tools, as well as other necessary materials, for repair and maintenance duties, is essential.
Proficient in performing repairs or replacements on PVC and copper piping systems, with demonstrated expertise in soldering techniques.
The role involves diagnosing and resolving issues through basic repairs across a wide range of equipment and guestroom items, including pump and motor replacements, plumbing tasks such as unclogging toilets and drains, and servicing electrical equipment like lamps, cosmetic appliances, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, and internet devices. Additionally, responsibilities include replacing electrical switches and outlets, as well as addressing other guestroom-related maintenance needs.
The incumbent is responsible for operating television equipment and carrying out routine housekeeping and engineering maintenance tasks.
Assist in preparing surfaces and applying paint, perform minor repairs to drywall and wood trim, replace light bulbs and A/C filters, and ensure the complete cleanup of all painting or repair zones.
Before commencing any maintenance activities, ensure compliance with the Lockout/Ragout system to safeguard against unexpected equipment activation.
Proficient in the operation of engineering software applications pertinent to preventative maintenance, energy management, and related systems, including those interfacing with such programs.
Conduct advanced diagnostic assessments of hotel Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems to identify and resolve operational issues.
Demonstrates the capacity to provide training and guidance to junior engineers, such as Engineer I roles. Exhibits proficiency in fulfilling Engineer on Duty responsibilities, encompassing equipment readings and facility rounds.
Oversee a range of critical tasks encompassing strategic planning, operational execution, and performance evaluation to ensure alignment with organizational goals. Experienced in general maintenance tasks, as well as in preparing and painting both exterior and interior surfaces.
Minimum of two years’ experience in hotel engineering or maintenance roles is required.
No prior background in supervisory roles is required for this position.
Holders must possess a current, valid driver’s license.

The program covers critical topics such as proper refrigerant recovery, recycling, and reclamation techniques, along with the environmental impacts of CFC emissions. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in safety protocols, leak detection methods, and compliance with federal and international environmental regulations. Upon successful completion, certified individuals are authorized to work with CFC-based systems while adhering to ethical and legal standards.
