About the Role

We are currently searching for a proficient and safety-focused Grove Crane Operator to become part of our operations team in Papa. The ideal candidate will oversee the operation of Grove mobile cranes, ensuring the secure and effective lifting, movement, and placement of heavy materials and equipment in full compliance with all safety and operational regulations.

Oversee and execute a range of critical duties, including but not limited to managing departmental operations, coordinating team activities, and ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall performance while fostering a collaborative work environment. Monitor progress, analyze key performance indicators, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership to support data-driven decision-making. Additionally, oversee budgetary allocations, allocate resources effectively, and mitigate potential risks to maintain operational stability.

Operate Grove mobile cranes with precision and adherence to established company protocols and stringent industry standards to ensure safe and efficient performance.

Conduct pre-operation inspections and perform routine maintenance checks on crane equipment to ensure operational safety and reliability.

The role involves lifting, transporting, and precisely positioning heavy loads in accordance with provided instructions.

Maintain adherence to all established safety protocols, load charts, and designated lifting plans to ensure operational integrity and regulatory compliance.

Work collaboratively with riggers, supervisors, and on-site personnel to ensure safe and efficient execution of lifting operations.

Promptly report any equipment defects, maintenance needs, or safety concerns to ensure operational efficiency and workplace safety.

Ensure meticulous documentation of crane operations and inspection activities.

Maintain the cleanliness and operational integrity of all equipment assigned to your responsibility.

Requirements

A Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or an equivalent qualification is required.

A valid crane operator certification or license is required.

A minimum of three to five years of hands-on experience operating Grove mobile cranes is required.

Proficiency in lifting operations, load calculations, and crane safety protocols is essential.

Professional candidates should possess hands-on experience in industrial settings, warehouse operations, manufacturing processes, construction projects, or steel production facilities.

Effective interpersonal communication and the ability to collaborate seamlessly within a team environment are essential.

Must excel under pressure while consistently upholding rigorous safety standards to ensure operational integrity and workplace security.

Preferred Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with at least three years of professional experience in a comparable role. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, is essential. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication abilities and the capacity to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with project management methodologies and prior leadership experience are highly desirable.

Proven expertise in managing steel products, heavy machinery, and industrial materials.

Candidates possessing supplementary certifications in lifting operations, rigging, or HSE will be viewed favorably.
