SPIE Global Services Energy is seeking to enhance its team in Nigeria by bringing on board a seasoned HVAC Senior Technician to support our offshore operations.

Oversee and manage the primary duties associated with this position, ensuring all operational, administrative, and strategic tasks are executed with precision and alignment to organizational objectives.

Perform maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the proper functioning of equipment, machinery, and facilities. Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues before they escalate. Execute necessary repairs and replacements promptly to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency. Collaborate with team members to address complex maintenance challenges and implement preventive measures. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory levels. Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards to ensure a secure work environment.

We are responsible for performing service and repair tasks on HVAC systems in control rooms, switchgear rooms, and other designated areas.

To ensure control rooms remain free of hydrocarbon gas ingress, maintain positive pressure systems in accordance with IEC Ex and ALEX standards.

Overhaul chillers, packaged units, air handling units (Thus), and variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems operating in harsh, saltwater-corrosive environments.

Monitor drilling and production operations on a standby basis.

Experienced professionals are sought to manage the installation and commissioning phases, ensuring systems are deployed efficiently and operate according to specifications. The role requires adherence to safety protocols, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot issues during setup. Applicants must possess technical expertise in relevant systems, a strong understanding of operational procedures, and prior experience in field deployment. Responsibilities include coordinating with teams, conducting final checks, and validating performance to confirm readiness for operation.

Professionally install HVAC systems while ensuring proper piping installations, ductwork configurations, and electrical connections are completed with precision.

Systems must be commissioned, and performance testing completed prior to transferring operations, ensuring all components meet specified standards and function as intended.

Interpret and analyze mechanical and electrical drawings, PIDs, and HVAC schematics with precision.

We are seeking a dedicated HSE & Compliance professional to ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations as well as internal policies. The role involves conducting regular inspections, identifying potential hazards, and implementing corrective measures to mitigate risks. Additionally, the position requires staying current with evolving regulatory standards, providing training to staff on safety protocols, and maintaining accurate documentation of all compliance activities. Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams are essential for success in this role.

Ensure adherence to NU PRC safety standards, ASHRAE guidelines, and the organization’s HSE policies at all times.

Prior to commencing any work on energized equipment, it is mandatory to properly complete the Permit to Work (PTW), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Lockout/Ragout (LOT) procedures.

Profile

Professional experience in offshore oil and gas production facilities, with a preference for Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FASO) systems.

A minimum of eight years of hands-on experience in HVAC and refrigeration system repair is required for this position.

Applicants must possess a recognized Ordinary National Diploma (OND) or equivalent qualification, or have successfully completed a recognized trade apprenticeship or verified technician training program, accompanied by a minimum period of relevant work experience.

Must possess strong teamwork skills to collaborate seamlessly with colleagues and contribute to collective goals.
