Reporting to the Project AQC Manager, this role entails providing direct support to the leadership overseeing quality assurance and quality control processes within the project framework. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring compliance with established standards, protocols, and regulatory requirements while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to maintain high-quality deliverables. Key duties include monitoring inspection activities, documenting non-conformances, and facilitating corrective actions to uphold project integrity and safety. Job Summary

The Coating Inspector oversees field joint coating and painting operations, ensuring adherence to quality standards through meticulous supervision and control. Responsibilities encompass the development of procedures and Inspection Test Plans (Its), delivering specialized technical guidance, and producing daily reports. Additionally, the role involves qualifying procedures, inspecting and certifying joints, and verifying compliance with the project’s established quality benchmarks.

Direct the coating team while ensuring all members possess the necessary certifications for coating and painting operations.

Ensure daily mobilization occurs promptly, production targets are consistently met, and all equipment operates in optimal condition.

Oversee routine operations to verify strict adherence to established protocols and Inspection and Test Plans (Its).

Follow established daily schedules to ensure consistent and timely task completion.

As a Core/Technical professional, you will be responsible for overseeing critical infrastructure and systems to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security. Your duties will include analyzing technical requirements, implementing solutions, and maintaining robust operational frameworks. You must possess strong problem-solving skills, proficiency in relevant technologies, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Additionally, you should demonstrate a deep understanding of industry best practices and compliance standards to mitigate risks and enhance system efficiency.

Evaluate painting and coating methodologies alongside Inspection Test Plans (Its) to ensure adherence to global codes and regulatory standards.

Ensure that all equipment employed for task completion is certified and appropriate for the designated application.

Verify that all inspection instruments adhere to calibration standards and possess current certification.

Assess and document any deviations from established standards, ensuring thorough follow-up on corrective measures and the final closure of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).

Prepare daily production reports and oversee the punctual completion of digital tracking system reports, such as Pipe Track or similar platforms.

Perform thorough reviews of procedures and Inspection and Test Plans (Its) to secure client approval.

Ensure strict adherence to approved protocols and Inspection and Test Plans (Its) at the site location.

Execute and verify all mandated tests in accordance with established procedures and Inspection & Test Plans (Its).

Accurately compile, document, and communicate all findings from inspections and tests through formal reporting procedures.

Ensure that all staff members engaged in coating and painting operations possess the necessary qualifications and certifications.

Execute additional responsibilities associated with coating operations as directed.

Demonstrate unwavering commitment to upholding Occupational Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory standards.

Uphold adherence to all established safety protocols while verifying the correct utilization of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Facilitate or engage in toolbox meetings prior to the initiation of daily operational activities.

Encourage proactive reporting of Hazard Identification and Risk (HIS) while setting a strong personal example through leadership and commitment.

Ensure all team members participate in mandatory Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) meetings.

Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution. Minimum of five years of progressive experience in electrical design and engineering, with a strong emphasis on medium-voltage switchgear projects, including design, development, testing, and commissioning. Proficiency in AutoCAD, TAP, SKM, and PLC programming is required. Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply NEC and NFPA 70E codes in design and safety protocols is essential. Strong problem-solving skills, keen attention to detail, and the capacity to work independently or collaboratively in a team are necessary. Must exhibit excellent verbal and written communication abilities to interact effectively with clients, contractors, and cross-functional teams.

A bachelor’s degree in any engineering discipline is required.

NACE Level 2, GAS, or EROSION 3 certification serves as the baseline qualification for this position.

Experienced professionals holding NACE Level 3 certification or, ideally, SSPC Level 3, are encouraged to apply.

Hold current certifications in Construction Risk Assessment, Radiation Protection, Fire Safety, Basic Life Support, and First Aid.

A certification from the American Galvanizing Institute would be considered advantageous.

With a proven track record in the field, candidates should bring substantial hands-on experience relevant to the role.
