We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to oversee and execute various organizational tasks to ensure seamless operations. Key duties include managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and handling correspondence. Additionally, the role involves maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and assisting with project planning as needed. Strong organizational skills, proficiency in multitasking, and exceptional communication abilities are essential for success in this position.

Support the implementation of R-DATS project development, research, monitoring, and evaluation activities.

This role presents a valuable chance to develop practical expertise in research methodologies, survey implementation, and data handling.

The NYC Survey Data Analysis Intern will undertake the following responsibilities:

Support the execution of research initiatives, including baseline studies, impact assessments, and mid-term evaluations.

Assist in developing data collection instruments and creating detailed data analysis strategies.

Facilitate the acquisition, input, verification, and refinement of data to ensure accuracy and integrity.

Ensure strict adherence to all data quality protocols throughout the processes of data collection and cleaning.

Responsible for collecting data, conducting preliminary analysis, creating visual representations, preparing reports, and distributing findings to relevant stakeholders.

Collaborate with the RATS team to compile reports, aggregate data, and share both success stories and key lessons learned from initiatives.

Assist in the organization and coordination of daily research activities in alignment with established project execution plans.

Perform all additional duties as directed by the supervisor, as needed.

Requirements

Hold an undergraduate degree in Demography, Economics, Statistics, Sociology, Public Health, or a closely related quantitative discipline.

Proficiency in conducting survey data analysis utilizing State or SPSS is a mandatory requirement.

Proficient in quantitative analysis with hands-on experience leveraging data visualization and statistical tools, including Tableau, Power BI, and Microsoft Excel.

A strong background in research execution, survey data interpretation, and program monitoring and evaluation (M&E) is preferred.

Proficiency in working with extensive secondary datasets—including MICS, DHS, and NARKS—would be highly beneficial.

Highly proficient in both verbal and written English communication, coupled with a strong commitment to quality and meticulous attention to detail.

Demonstrated cultural awareness and a proven capability to collaborate effectively within diverse team settings.

Demonstrates strong self-sufficiency, analytical thinking, and initiative in resolving challenges while effectively seeking assistance when appropriate.

Demonstrated expertise in utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and PowerPoint, is essential for this role.
