The Logistics & Supply Chain Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing a robust monitoring system while providing training, mentorship, and hands-on support to program staff in logistics and supply chain management. This role involves collaborating closely with the National Malaria Elimination Program (NEP) and other key stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination of malaria health products under the STEP initiative. Additionally, the position entails overseeing the supply chain management of Insecticide-Treated Nets (ITN’s) slated for distribution throughout the program. The Logistics & Supply Chain Manager will also lead supervision and professional development efforts for the Fakirs logistics and supply chain management team.

Offer specialized technical support to the national quantification task team while facilitating the annual national malaria health products needs planning process, encompassing both macro and micro planning for malaria resources and activities to guarantee product availability and promote rational utilization nationwide.
Maintain accountability and transparency across all supply chain operations while ensuring adherence to Fakirs Healthcare Initiative guidelines, donor regulations, and both international and local standards and requirements.
Review and confirm the technical specifications for pharmaceuticals, health products, and equipment to be procured using ISDN funds, ensuring strict adherence to WHO standards, donor requirements, national regulations, industry best practices, procurement competitiveness, transparency, and cost-effectiveness.
Work collaboratively with the National Malaria Elimination Program (NEP) to supply details regarding the required quantities of health and malaria-related commodities, anticipated delivery timelines, and product technical specifications.
Engage with key stakeholders within the Federal Ministry of Health to ensure real-time alignment between planning and execution phases for all pharmaceutical and health products, while also overseeing a comprehensive inventory of health equipment procured through Global Fund allocations.
Overseeing management and administrative functions encompasses strategic planning, operational efficiency, and organizational leadership to ensure seamless workflows and goal attainment. This role involves coordinating teams, optimizing processes, and maintaining compliance with policies and regulations. Responsibilities include budget oversight, resource allocation, and performance evaluation to drive productivity and accountability. Monitor and evaluate the ongoing performance of the third-party logistics (3PL) service provider to ensure efficient warehousing and distribution of health products within the program, strictly adhering to the outlined service level agreement (SLA).
Oversee the preparation and delivery of logistics and supply chain management updates for the program reports, which are issued twice annually.
Ensure that logistics and supply chain management staff adhere to all Fakirs Healthcare Initiative protocols, as well as donor-established administrative and operational procedures and policies, while also complying with relevant donor regulations.
Implement and enforce risk mitigation strategies to safeguard products and assets acquired through donor-funded procurement, thereby preventing potential losses.

You will serve as the representative for Fakirs Healthcare Initiative at key supply chain management technical working groups, sectoral meetings, and coordination forums, actively engaging in discussions and contributing insights.
Work collaboratively with the FMH and its technical and financial partners to ensure seamless coordination and systematic implementation of all procurement and supply chain management strengthening initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is essential. Experience with software development methodologies like Agile or Scrum is highly desirable. Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking are critical. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for collaboration with cross-functional teams. Knowledge of cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure, is a plus.
