Job Summary

The Business Developer (BD) drives merchant engagement across community, neighborhood, and street markets, promoting the use of the Pay Customer App (CAMP) for daily business operations. This position concentrates on acquiring high-quality merchants, enhancing app adoption, boosting merchant engagement, and expanding transaction volume within designated market territories.

As the primary liaison between Pay and merchants, the Business Development (BD) Manager facilitates merchant adoption of the Customer App by clearly articulating its value in money transfer services, thereby supporting the department’s strategic expansion goals. This role is responsible for driving engagement, demonstrating the app’s advantages for seamless transactions, and aligning merchant partnerships with the organization’s growth initiatives.

Oversee a range of critical tasks encompassing the development and execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Lead cross-functional teams to drive project completion while maintaining high standards of performance and accountability. Collaborate closely with stakeholders across departments to gather requirements, provide updates, and address any challenges that may arise. Monitor progress through regular assessments, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures as needed. Serve as a key liaison between senior management and operational teams to facilitate seamless communication and decision-making. Educate merchants about the advantages of utilizing the Pay Customer App (CAMP).

Motivate merchants to utilize the app consistently for conducting business transactions, including both receiving and sending payments.

Execute routine merchant visits and subsequent engagement activities to enhance application utilization and merchant participation.

Enhance merchant activation rates, increase order volumes, boost active user engagement, and elevate Gross Transaction Value (GTV) to drive measurable growth and operational efficiency.

Develop and sustain robust partnerships with merchants to foster mutually beneficial collaborations.

Address merchant inquiries promptly, ensuring their concerns are addressed, and elevate any unresolved matters to the appropriate teams for further action when required.

Ensure adherence to the department’s Standard Operating Procedures and onboarding protocols.

Prepare comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly activity reports with precision and attention to detail.

Attend and actively engage in training, coaching, and performance review sessions to enhance skills and evaluate progress.

Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in the industry, and proficiency in industry-standard software tools. Strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment are essential.
