The Stock Controller oversees system inventory management and maintains the integrity of stock records. This role involves monitoring inventory levels, conducting physical stock counts, and ensuring accurate records to facilitate seamless warehouse and retail operations. Key responsibilities include preventing stock shortages, tracking incoming shipments, and generating detailed inventory reports for management.
Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of duties, including but not limited to strategic planning, project management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive organizational objectives. Implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Analyze performance metrics and operational data to identify trends, mitigate risks, and optimize efficiency across departments. Lead initiative development, stakeholder engagement, and resource allocation to support business growth and innovation. Serve as a liaison between senior leadership and operational teams to facilitate transparent communication, alignment with company goals, and timely decision-making. Conduct routine physical inventories and verify discrepancies against system data to ensure accuracy.
Monitor inventory levels and place reorders promptly to ensure continuous product availability and avoid stock outs.
Promptly update the inventory software to accurately record all stock additions and removals, ensuring real-time data integrity.
Investigate discrepancies and conduct in-depth root cause analyses to determine the origins of missing or damaged inventory.
Supplier Coordination: Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to guarantee timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Seeking candidates with a relevant degree and at least three years of hands-on experience in the field. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential. Familiarity with industry-standard software and tools is required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven track record of delivering high-quality work within deadlines. Experience in project management and team leadership is highly desirable.
A recognized Nigerian or international university must confer a bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Business Administration, or a closely aligned discipline.
A background in supply chain or inventory management, evidenced by relevant professional certification, would be highly beneficial.
Experienced professional with a proven track record in manufacturing environments, proficient in advanced Excel functionalities, and meticulous in ensuring accuracy and precision.
