Job Summary
An accomplished Production Manager is required to supervise daily shop floor activities and enhance production efficiency within our aluminum extrusion facility.
This position requires strong leadership to meet performance goals, optimize workflows, and uphold rigorous safety and quality protocols.
Oversee a range of essential duties encompassing project management, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to drive organizational objectives forward. Develop and implement strategic initiatives aligned with company goals, ensuring efficient resource allocation and measurable outcomes. Serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, fostering transparent communication and resolving escalated issues with urgency. Lead performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and mentor team members to enhance productivity and professional growth. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess progress, identify areas for improvement, and implement data-driven solutions. Ensure adherence to industry regulations, compliance standards, and internal policies while maintaining a high standard of operational excellence. Collaborate with senior leadership to align departmental strategies with broader business priorities and long-term vision.
Direct and supervise daily production activities across various shifts to ensure seamless operations and optimal performance.
Implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and lean manufacturing methodologies to reduce equipment downtime and enhance operational efficiency.
To achieve production targets consistently, focus on minimizing waste and optimizing unit costs through efficient processes and resource management.
Responsible for overseeing shift scheduling, workforce distribution, and optimizing production line efficiency.
Ensure unwavering adherence to safety protocols, quality benchmarks, and maintenance requirements throughout the shop floor operations.
Collaborate closely with departments such as maintenance, quality assurance, logistics, and planning to ensure seamless operations and alignment across all teams.
Spearhead ongoing enhancement initiatives while ensuring strict compliance with established standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Deliver comprehensive training and mentorship initiatives aimed at operators to bolster their skill sets, optimize performance, and reinforce accountability.
Maintain accurate documentation, compile production reports, and oversee performance dashboards to ensure data integrity and operational transparency.
Monitor and document raw material usage to ensure precise inventory control.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a closely related technical discipline is required for this position.
Requires at least five years of hands-on experience in production supervision or plant operations, with a preference for candidates with a manufacturing background.
Achieved measurable improvements in optimization, cost reduction, and process efficiency throughout tenure.
Skilled in implementing TPM, 5S, and other lean methodologies through practical application.
Exceptional leadership abilities, adeptness at team coordination, and outstanding communication skills are essential.
Proficient in evaluating production data to derive meaningful insights and implement informed, impactful decisions.
Skilled in using Microsoft Excel and ERP systems, with a preference for candidates familiar with Odoo.
Strong preference is given to candidates who are willing to reside on-site in Anna.
