Position Summary

The Territory Managers will cultivate and oversee strategic partnerships to drive Lumps’ business expansion within their designated region.

This position seeks a driven professional who excels in renewable energy, microfinance banking, telecommunications, or FMCG markets, possesses exceptional relationship management capabilities, and can foster collaborative business opportunities with key stakeholders.

Key duties encompass overseeing daily operations to ensure alignment with organizational objectives, managing cross-functional teams to drive project completion, and maintaining open communication channels with stakeholders to facilitate transparency and accountability. Additionally, the role involves analyzing performance metrics to identify areas for improvement, implementing strategic initiatives to enhance productivity, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal policies. The position also requires collaborating with senior leadership to develop long-term plans, fostering a culture of innovation through continuous process optimization, and providing mentorship to junior staff to support professional growth and development.

Facilitate the expansion of solar product sales and distribution across designated regions, focusing on meeting predefined revenue benchmarks and customer acquisition objectives.

Prospect and secure new customers by executing direct field sales strategies, fostering community involvement, and organizing impactful market activations.

Develop and sustain robust relationships with customers and critical stakeholders across designated territories to enhance product adoption and ensure long-term retention.

Perform routine field visits, scout potential clients, and engage in direct sales through door-to-door outreach to cultivate leads and finalize sales prospects.

Educate customers regarding product features, benefits, usage guidelines, and available payment options to enhance their overall experience and drive higher sales conversions.

Develop and implement strategic sales initiatives, promotional campaigns, and business expansion efforts within assigned territories to enhance market share and increase brand recognition.

Monitor competitive landscapes, gather and analyze customer feedback, and track evolving market trends within designated regions, subsequently delivering strategic insights to leadership for informed decision-making.

Monitor and document sales performance on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, ensuring alignment with established key performance indicators (KPIs). Additionally, prepare and submit precise field reports as required.

Work collaboratively with various internal teams, such as sales operations, customer service, and marketing, to guarantee smooth and efficient customer support and service delivery.

You will participate in scheduled sales meetings and training sessions to enhance your product knowledge, sales proficiency, and on-field performance.

Conduct on-site customer visits and perform acquisition validations to verify installation completion, product utilization, and the authenticity of sales transactions.

Monitor and evaluate critical success metrics to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and drive continuous improvement across key operational areas. Establish, track, and analyze measurable benchmarks to assess performance, identify trends, and facilitate data-driven decision-making. Regularly review and report progress against established targets, providing actionable insights to stakeholders to optimize efficiency and productivity.

The team is responsible for ensuring that all newly acquired customers are visited each month in alignment with our partner network.

Resolution of customer service-related issues adheres to established service level agreements (SLAs), ensuring timely and effective solutions are provided.

Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, complemented by a minimum of five years of progressive experience in a comparable role. The ideal applicant will possess strong analytical skills, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in industry-specific software or tools. Demonstrated leadership in managing teams, executing projects, and driving operational efficiency is essential. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Familiarity with current trends, regulations, and best practices in the field is highly desirable.

A bachelor’s degree, HND, or OND is required.

A minimum of two years of demonstrated experience in partner development, business development, or channel management is required, with a preference for candidates who have worked in the solar, renewable energy, microfinance banking, telecommunication, or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industries.

Possesses a comprehensive understanding of photovoltaic solar technology as well as financing mechanisms within the renewable energy sector.

A history of cultivating and sustaining high-impact strategic alliances that generate tangible business outcomes is essential.

Exceptional proficiency in communication, negotiation, and presentation is required.

Demonstrates exceptional analytical prowess and problem-solving skills, coupled with a forward-thinking strategic approach.

Demonstrates strong self-motivation, exceptional organizational skills, and the capacity to juggle various projects while maintaining high productivity levels.

Able and prepared to travel as necessary to facilitate partner engagement and business development initiatives.
