Job Summary:
The Senior Project Risk Engineer plays a pivotal role in proactively identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risks throughout the entirety of large-scale construction and infrastructure initiatives, spanning every stage from initial design to final construction, commissioning, and verification.
This position entails crafting and sustaining detailed risk management strategies and registers, performing both qualitative and quantitative risk evaluations—including Monte Carlo simulations—and delivering strategic recommendations to mitigate risks tied to scope, schedule, cost, resources, quality, and regulatory adherence.
This role demands close coordination with project teams, the PMO, and stakeholders to proactively identify risks, implement targeted mitigation strategies, and ensure project objectives are met on schedule.
Key Duties & Accountabilities:

Analyze and thoroughly understand the project scope, design specifications, cost estimates, and schedule documentation across multiple projects.
Conduct risk identification and quantification workshops, ensuring all identified risks are systematically included in the risk register.
Construct Monte Carlo simulations to measure and assess the risks identified during the workshop.
Compile comprehensive monthly evaluations of project risks in written report format.
Develop tailored Risk Management solutions promptly to address emerging project threats.
Actively engage in all QHSE Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Programs on a consistent basis.
Attend scheduled meetings concerning departmental operations and project advancements to ensure alignment and address key objectives.
Observe workplace conditions and activities thoroughly, promptly identifying any unsafe practices or behaviors. Immediately address hazards to mitigate risks and ensure a secure environment for all personnel. Document and report all observed safety concerns through the appropriate channels to maintain compliance and prevent future incidents.

Experience
A relevant bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or project management is required.
With a minimum of eight years of experience in engineering and/or project management, candidates must have held a Senior Risk Engineer role on mega projects.
A minimum of eight years of relevant professional experience in a comparable position is required.
Proven expertise in project controls best practices, processes, and tools is required.
Experienced in utilizing Palisade @RISK for conducting cost risk assessments is required.
Proficient in utilizing Primavera Risk Analysis to evaluate and assess project schedule risks is required.
Proven proficiency in utilizing Primavera P6 scheduling software is required.
Proven expertise in leveraging standard Microsoft Office applications with a high degree of proficiency.
Seasoned professional with extensive, hands-on involvement in a diverse portfolio of construction initiatives and programs, encompassing oil and gas infrastructure and facility developments.
Proven expertise encompassing a minimum of five years conducting both qualitative and quantitative risk assessments, with proficiency in utilizing specialized risk assessment tools.
