As a Pension Administrator, your role will involve contributing to the Finance function’s Continuous Improvement initiatives by aligning the agendas of Process, Data, Systems, and People—all essential components of Operational Excellence.
What you’ll be doing
Pension Administration and Operations encompasses the management and oversight of retirement plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and efficient processing of benefits. This role involves administering pension schemes, maintaining accurate records, and providing guidance to participants regarding their retirement options. Responsibilities include calculating benefits, managing fund investments, and liaising with financial institutions to facilitate seamless transactions. Additionally, the position requires staying abreast of legislative changes, preparing detailed reports, and collaborating with HR and finance teams to optimize pension strategies. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in pension software are essential for success in this role.
Perform regular eligibility confirmation checks for a population of approximately 4,200 pension recipients.
Responsible for overseeing all aspects of pension administration from start to finish, this role involves coordinating and collaborating with Pensioner Association offices nationwide to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
Promptly address and process pensioner requests, inquiries, and complaints to maintain efficient service delivery.
Collaborate closely with the IT department to implement and maintain an optimized Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, ensuring its functionality aligns with organizational objectives.
Oversee the maintenance and up-to-date content management of the SNCPA website to guarantee consistent freshness and accuracy.
Contribute to the execution of annual pensioner surveys and facilitate quarterly engagement sessions for pensioners.

Offer expert technical assistance to Pensioner Associations, representing the SNCPA in meetings when necessary.
Develop and sustain productive professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, such as PEN COM, Shell HR, and Pensioner Associations.
Responsibilities include managing contractual obligations, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements, and overseeing documentation processes. Duties involve preparing, reviewing, and submitting accurate reports to stakeholders, maintaining records, and addressing any discrepancies or inquiries promptly. Additionally, the role entails liaising with legal and operational teams to facilitate contract negotiations, amendments, and renewals while adhering to company policies and regulatory standards.
Serve as the designated Contract Holder for overseeing the annual calendar production and distribution, as well as managing additional service contracts aimed at enhancing value propositions for pensioners.
Oversee vendor and contract performance to ensure compliance with CMCP standards.
Draft and file regulatory reports on a periodic basis for submission to PEN COM.
What you bring
A minimum of eight years of pertinent professional experience is required, along with a degree in Administration, Social Sciences, or a closely related discipline; possession of a postgraduate qualification is considered advantageous.
Seasoned professionals with a track record of overseeing Defined Benefit (DB) pension schemes are sought, possessing in-depth expertise in PEN COM regulations, guidelines, and circulars.
Demonstrated expertise in interpersonal communication, with a particular aptitude for engaging empathetically and effectively with an elderly pensioner population during delicate circumstances.
A proven commercial acumen is essential, encompassing the assessment of supplier offerings, the enhancement of cost efficiency and service excellence, and the achievement of objectives through effective collaboration with suppliers and key stakeholders.
Demonstrates a solid grasp of contracting methodologies, including CMCP, alongside exceptional abilities in negotiation, influence cultivation, and stakeholder engagement.
Proficient in both written and spoken English, with a strong aptitude for communicating clearly and effectively, even in challenging, high-pressure, or emotionally charged situations.
Exceptional ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, fostering meaningful partnerships to enhance service delivery and drive ongoing improvements.
Skilled in utilizing digital and IT applications to enhance service delivery and elevate the overall experience for pensioners.
