JOB SUMMARY:
The Production Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all production activities to meet efficiency, safety, and quality benchmarks. Oversee a range of critical operational duties and strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry best practices. Develop and implement robust policies, procedures, and performance metrics to enhance efficiency and productivity across departments. Lead cross-functional teams to execute projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement through mentorship, coaching, and professional development programs. Collaborate with senior leadership to align departmental goals with broader business strategies. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, ethical standards, and internal governance frameworks. Act as a liaison between executive leadership and operational staff to facilitate clear communication and decision-making.
Responsible for managing daily production activities to maintain optimal workflow efficiency.
Create and execute production schedules designed to achieve organizational objectives efficiently and on time.
Monitor operational metrics and oversee the efficiency of machinery while managing scheduled maintenance tasks to ensure optimal functionality.
Ensure adherence to all applicable safety, quality, and environmental regulations and standards.
Oversee the work of production personnel, including staff, operators, and supervisors, to ensure efficient and effective operations.
Optimize efficiency by reducing downtime, minimizing waste, and lowering operational expenditures.
Compile production reports and conduct in-depth performance analysis to assess operational efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate effectively with various departments, such as maintenance, management, and quality control, to ensure seamless operations and alignment of objectives.
Spearhead ongoing enhancement projects throughout the production division to ensure sustained progress and operational excellence.
REQUIREMENTS:
A bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering, Industrial Production, Manufacturing, or a closely related field is required.
Three years or more of hands-on experience within a manufacturing or recycling organization is required.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively and drive collaborative performance through strong leadership and management capabilities.
Proficiency in production planning and process management is required.
Must demonstrate resilience and the capacity to perform effectively in high-pressure environments while consistently meeting established deadlines.
Proficiency in plastic recycling or manufacturing processes is highly beneficial.
