We are in search of a seasoned HR Consultant to assist in reorganizing and reinforcing the HR function of a long-standing, multi-site healthcare organization based in Lagos.
As part of this role, you will be responsible for executing a variety of critical tasks within the broader scope of the position. Your primary duties will involve overseeing key operational functions, managing project deliverables, and ensuring adherence to established timelines and quality standards. The Consultant is tasked with spearheading a six-month HR restructuring initiative to build a resilient HR framework, enhance governance mechanisms, establish foundational HR policies and processes, and facilitate the recruitment and integration of an HR Manager.
Oversee a range of critical operational duties, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry standards. Develop and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, productivity, and compliance across various departments. Monitor performance metrics, analyze data trends, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership for informed decision-making. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows, resolve complex issues, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Maintain accountability for project timelines, budget adherence, and resource allocation while upholding quality and regulatory requirements. Act as a liaison between stakeholders to align expectations, mitigate risks, and drive sustainable growth through innovative solutions.
Perform a comprehensive evaluation of human resources policies, practices, and organizational structures to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
Design and implement a suitable organizational structure for the Human Resources department, along with a clear and effective reporting framework.
To establish and implement foundational HR policies, procedures, and documentation.
Assist in the recruitment and selection process for the position of HR Manager.
Deliver comprehensive orientation programs, offer ongoing mentorship, and facilitate smooth transitions for individuals entering new roles or environments.
Develop essential project deliverables and compile comprehensive implementation reports.
Seeking a candidate with a minimum of three years of experience in a comparable role, along with proficiency in project management software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. The ideal applicant will possess strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting. Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance standards is essential, and prior experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required, and additional certifications in project management or related areas will be considered advantageous.
A Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a closely related discipline is required.
Candidates should possess a minimum of seven to ten years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience.
Professional experience is required in the realms of HR restructuring, organizational development, or the design of HR systems.
Develops and maintains comprehensive policies with exceptional clarity and thorough documentation expertise.
