A seasoned Group Treasurer is required to oversee treasury functions for a broad range of businesses spanning insurance, healthcare, and financial services.
This senior executive position will report directly to the Group Managing Director, overseeing treasury strategy, liquidity management, investment oversight, and financial risk management across diverse business entities.
Key Duties Encompass: overseeing daily operational activities to ensure alignment with organizational objectives, managing cross-functional teams to drive project execution, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency. Additionally, collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, conducting thorough analyses to identify trends or challenges, and developing strategic solutions to address business needs. This role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving, exceptional communication skills to liaise with internal and external partners, and a strong aptitude for data-driven decision-making to optimize performance outcomes.
Design and establish comprehensive treasury policies and governance frameworks applicable across the entire group.
Oversee the distribution and strategic deployment of liquidity and capital resources among various subsidiaries to ensure optimal financial positioning and alignment with organizational objectives.
Develop and oversee investment strategy while managing portfolio initiatives to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
Monitor and manage risks associated with interest rate fluctuations, foreign exchange volatility, credit exposures, and liquidity constraints to ensure financial stability and compliance with regulatory standards.
Build and maintain strategic partnerships with banks, financial institutions, and key stakeholders in the capital markets.
Ensure adherence to all regulatory standards set forth by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the National Insurance Commission (NICOL), and the National Health Insurance Authority (CHIA).
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a closely related field is required.
A CFA, ACT, or ICAN certification is an essential requirement for this position.
15 to 20 years of progressive experience in treasury operations or financial management is required.
Demonstrated expertise in the Financial Services, Insurance, Banking, or Health Financing industries is essential.
