The Audit Manager will oversee and lead multiple audit engagements spanning clients within the private and public sectors.

This position entails overseeing the provision of premium audit services in strict adherence to globally recognized standards and the organization’s established quality control frameworks.

Effective leadership, advanced technical proficiency, and a proven track record in managing varied teams and intricate projects are critical requirements for this role.

As a member of our team, you will undertake key responsibilities that include overseeing daily operations, managing project timelines, and collaborating with cross-functional departments to achieve organizational goals. The role requires a minimum of five years of relevant experience in a similar position, along with strong leadership skills and proficiency in industry-specific software. You will be responsible for analyzing performance metrics, developing strategic initiatives to enhance productivity, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, are essential, as you will frequently interact with senior leadership and external stakeholders. Additionally, you will mentor junior team members, foster a culture of accountability, and drive continuous improvement across all processes.

Conduct audit engagements in partnership with the Managing Partners, overseeing all aspects of the process to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Draft proposals and collaborate on strategic initiatives to secure new business opportunities.

Strive to meet revenue targets without compromising on service excellence.

Conduct audit engagements in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA’s) and established internal policies and procedures.

Deliver educational sessions and professional development programs to direct reports and team members.

Facilitate the accomplishment of departmental objectives by contributing to report development and audit preparation initiatives.

Conduct a thorough examination of audit work to verify its precision and adherence to established timelines.

Work collaboratively with other departments to align communication strategies and marketing initiatives.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is mandatory. A minimum of five years of professional experience in software development, systems engineering, or a comparable role is required. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ is essential. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are critical. Familiarity with cloud platforms, DevOps practices, or cybersecurity principles is highly advantageous. Excellent communication skills for conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders are also necessary.

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a closely related discipline is required.

A minimum of seven years of audit experience, obtained after qualifying, is required.

Membership in the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) or an equivalent professional organization is required.

Demonstrated expertise in conducting comprehensive audits for clients spanning both private and public sectors.

Possesses comprehensive expertise in accounting and auditing standards and demonstrates a deep understanding of their technical intricacies.

You possess outstanding verbal and written communication abilities, along with exceptional presentation skills.

Skilled in leading teams, managing competing priorities, and achieving results in high-pressure environments.

Proficiency in conducting audits for clients spanning both private and public sectors is required.

Additional Criteria:

Demonstrates a successful history of overseeing a minimum of seven Category A clients for two consecutive years.

Proficiency in accounting principles and auditing regulations is essential.

Exceptional communication abilities across verbal, written, and presentation formats are essential for this role.

Maintaining current knowledge of industry regulations and staying informed about emerging developments are essential to this role.

Interpreting financial data with precision and insight is essential, requiring strong analytical capabilities to derive meaningful conclusions.

Demonstrates strong expertise in Caneware, Microsoft Office Suite, and additional relevant software applications.
