Job Summary

The Fiber Project Manager will be responsible for the comprehensive management of fiber deployment initiatives, from initial planning through final implementation, guaranteeing on-time completion, high-quality outcomes, and strict compliance with established industry regulations and standards.

The preferred applicant demonstrates proficiency in technology, meticulous attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills, complemented by robust design and coordination expertise.

Oversee critical operational duties, including the management of daily workflows, coordination of team activities, and execution of strategic initiatives to drive organizational objectives. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency, compliance, and performance across departments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement, streamline processes, and foster innovation. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate detailed reports to assess progress, pinpoint challenges, and recommend data-driven solutions. Ensure adherence to industry regulations, safety standards, and internal guidelines while maintaining a high level of accountability. Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and accountability.

Responsibilities include planning, designing, and overseeing fiber network projects, such as FTTH, FTTB, Backbone, and Metro deployments.

Coordinate with field teams, vendors, and stakeholders to facilitate seamless project execution and foster effective collaboration throughout the process.

Compile and deliver precise daily and weekly reports, project documentation, and as-built designs in a timely manner.

Oversee the ongoing assessment of project advancement, ensuring adherence to quality benchmarks, established timelines, and financial constraints.

Perform comprehensive site surveys, assess potential risks, and conduct thorough technical evaluations to ensure project viability and safety.

Maintain strict oversight of material usage and uphold accountability for all company assets.

Leverage digital platforms to manage project progress, maintain comprehensive documentation, and generate insightful reports.

Address technical challenges swiftly, and elevate unresolved issues to the appropriate stakeholders when required.

Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience of at least 3 years in software development, with expertise in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++. Strong problem-solving skills and proficiency in debugging are essential. Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies is required. Excellent communication abilities to collaborate effectively within a team. Knowledge of database management systems like SQL is a must. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently under tight deadlines.

Must be no older than 40 years of age.

Proficient understanding of fiber optic technology, data transmission principles, and outside plant/inside plant (OSP/ISP) design is required.

Proven ability to effectively coordinate projects and deliver comprehensive reports.

Strong expertise in utilizing GIS applications, AutoCAD, Google Earth, and other pertinent software platforms is required.

Proven ability to lead teams effectively, articulate ideas clearly, and analyze complex information with precision.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related discipline is required.

A minimum of three to five years of hands-on experience in fiber projects is required.
