Key Deliverables

Coordinate Civil Engineering and Survey personnel to guarantee the timely completion and successful execution of civil engineering and surveying projects.

Qualified personnel will utilize appropriate tools to perform supervisory duties in alignment with established engineering standards, including conducting physical inspections, reviewing plans and designs, and verifying that all work adheres to approved specifications.

Oversee a wide range of essential duties, including the planning, coordination, and execution of projects to ensure timely and successful delivery. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align objectives and streamline processes, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and overall performance. Monitor progress through detailed reporting and performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed. Ensure strict adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction. Act as a key liaison between senior management and operational teams to facilitate clear communication and drive organizational success.

Ensuring civil and survey projects adhere strictly to applicable Engineering Codes and Standards throughout execution.

Present civil works updates during monthly departmental meetings, emphasizing adherence to quality standards, adherence to deadlines, and efficient execution of projects.

Devise and implement strategic cost-saving measures aimed at achieving a minimum 15% reduction in operational expenses relative to the allocated project budget.

Engage in the assessment of subcontractors and the administration of contracts spanning various civil engineering and surveying disciplines. Prepare and present detailed reports to the Civil and Survey Manager for thorough review and approval.

Collaborate with the Engineering team to evaluate designs and drawings, ensuring they meet functional requirements and intended purpose.

Overseeing budgetary allocations and project resources, then reporting to the Civil and Survey Manager.

Build and sustain strong relationships with stakeholders and external partners, ensuring consistent and timely feedback is provided.

Responsible parties must diligently oversee the proper securing and maintenance of Civil and Survey Equipment/Tools both during and after operations to ensure their integrity and safety.

Responsibilities include collaborating on the development of civil engineering and survey tender documentation, which must then be submitted to the Civil/Survey Manager for final approval.

Interface with contractors executing Oiler civil and survey projects to guarantee the adherence to quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Liaising with site Supervisors to monitor civil and survey equipment and instruments on-site ensures accurate tracking and accountability throughout project execution.

Present updates regarding the operational status of all civil and survey equipment during the monthly departmental project review meetings.

Ensures adherence to quality standards, health protocols, safety regulations, and environmental policies throughout all operations. Implements and maintains systems to monitor compliance with legal and company requirements. Conducts regular inspections and audits to identify hazards, mitigate risks, and promote sustainable practices. Investigates incidents, leads corrective actions, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement in safety and environmental stewardship. Provides training and guidance to employees on QHSE protocols, emergency procedures, and regulatory obligations.

Ensure strict adherence to Occupational Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental policies, processes, and procedures, as well as all applicable laws and legal requirements throughout the Oiler Business operations.

Ensure the health and safety of both themselves and all stakeholders within the Oiler business operations.

Seeking a candidate with a minimum of five years of experience in a related field, preferably holding a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a closely aligned discipline. Strong proficiency in multiple programming languages, including but not limited to Python, Java, and C++, is essential. Familiarity with database management systems and cloud computing platforms is also required. Additionally, the ideal applicant should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.

A Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Civil Engineering is required.

As a registered professional with CORE, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, maintaining accurate documentation, and upholding technical excellence in your field.

Holding any additional certifications or memberships in professional engineering organizations will be viewed favorably.

Requires a minimum of fifteen years of practical expertise in civil engineering projects.

With a minimum of five years of specialized experience in civil engineering and surveying within the Oil and Gas sector, you will bring proven expertise to this role.
