ROLE SUMMARY

We are looking for a highly motivated and customer-centric Business Development Executive to spearhead sales growth and enhance our market footprint for Medical Consumables, Hospital Equipment & Furniture, and Patient Aids/Mobility Rehabilitation Aids across the Kano territory. The ideal candidate will be tasked with uncovering new business prospects, nurturing client relationships, driving product promotion, and meeting sales targets while maintaining outstanding customer service standards.

Drive strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, foster innovation, and ensure alignment with organizational goals. Lead cross-functional teams to execute projects with precision, meeting deadlines and exceeding performance targets. Oversee the development and implementation of policies, processes, and best practices to optimize workflows and mitigate risks. Collaborate closely with senior leadership to shape long-term vision, drive growth, and maintain competitive advantage. Monitor industry trends, analyze market data, and provide actionable insights to inform executive decision-making. Champion a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

Prospect and connect with potential customers by leveraging cold calling, networking initiatives, referrals, and strategic social selling techniques.

Promote and illustrate the features, benefits, and value propositions of our products to healthcare institutions and prospective clients, ensuring a clear understanding of their advantages and applications.

Negotiate pricing structures, contractual conditions, and finalize sales transactions to consistently meet or surpass predetermined sales objectives.

Cultivate enduring, high-value customer relationships to drive satisfaction, bolster retention, and secure consistent repeat business.

Stay abreast of the latest developments, trends, and competitive dynamics within designated product categories while continuously tracking competitor actions and shifts in the market landscape.

Compile and distribute weekly and monthly sales reports, projections, and performance summaries as scheduled.

Partner with cross-functional teams to guarantee prompt order processing and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

Facilitate expansion into new markets while uncovering avenues to enhance customer engagement and adoption across the full product range.

*Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.* 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on backend systems and distributed architectures. Proficiency in languages such as Java, Python, or Go, and familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to design scalable, high-performance solutions. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, microservices, and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

A bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management, Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a closely related discipline is required.

Demonstrated expertise in sales representation, specifically within the medical equipment, medical consumables, or broader healthcare industry, is required.

Possesses a comprehensive knowledge of medical consumables, hospital equipment and furniture, and patient aids/mobility rehabilitation products.
