Before engaging in the development of lesson plans and curricula, it is essential to thoroughly read all assigned books and supplementary materials to cultivate a deep and comprehensive understanding of the subject.
Working in tandem with colleagues across the English department to design comprehensive lesson plans, refine instructional strategies, and implement targeted interventions.
Developing students’ readiness for both formal and informal evaluations constitutes a key responsibility.
Grading various assessments, including tests, pop quizzes, assignments, exams, and other evaluations, while maintaining clear and professional communication with parents, students, teachers, and counselors regarding areas of underperformance and other relevant concerns.
Coordinating guest speakers, hosting literary events, and arranging educational field trips are key responsibilities of this position.
REQUIREMENTS:
A bachelor’s degree in English is required for this role.
Proficiency in classroom management techniques and adherence to established school policies and procedures is required.
Possesses a thorough understanding of sophisticated English language concepts and global educational frameworks.
Skilled in leveraging technology and proficient with a variety of computer applications to enhance productivity and streamline processes.
Skilled in implementing the most current pedagogical methods and subject relevant to English language education.
