Summary

We are in search of a diligent, professional, and reliable Security Officer to enhance our team with their commitment to safety and customer service.

The ideal candidate will ensure a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, staff, and hospital property, serving as a key contributor to these efforts.

Oversee and execute core duties, including leading strategic initiatives, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and drive sustainable growth. Collaborate closely with senior leadership to analyze performance metrics, identify key trends, and recommend data-driven solutions to optimize business outcomes. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement while upholding compliance with industry regulations and ethical standards. Additionally, mentor junior staff, delegate responsibilities effectively, and maintain open communication channels to facilitate seamless collaboration across departments.

Verify and regulate entry into the hospital and designated restricted areas by inspecting identification credentials and confirming authorized access.

The hospital gate must be consistently secured, with timely opening and closing to ensure the safe passage of patients, visitors, staff, and authorized vehicles.

Regular patrols of the hospital premises—encompassing both the interior of the facility and the surrounding grounds—are conducted to systematically identify and mitigate potential security threats.

Monitor, document, and address suspicious behaviors, security incidents, and safety hazards promptly and effectively.

Handle emergencies, including medical crises, fires, theft, disturbances, and other security issues, with prompt and appropriate action while collaborating with appropriate personnel.

Ensure visitor management aligns with hospital policies by facilitating accurate registration and enforcing established guidelines.

Safeguard hospital assets, including property, equipment, patient belongings, and other valuables, against theft, vandalism, misuse, or damage.

Provide support in managing crowd flow and ensuring organized movement of individuals during emergency situations or periods of high attendance.

Compile comprehensive and precise incident reports, security logs, and all other necessary documentation in accordance with established procedures.

Provide support in the secure transportation of patients throughout the hospital as needed.

Deliver timely support to patients, visitors, and staff as required, understanding that ensuring patient care and comfort is a collective duty for all hospital personnel.

Preserve the utmost confidentiality concerning patient details and hospital activities at all times.

Maintain strict adherence to hospital regulations, safety guidelines, and security measures at all times.

Ensure the safety and security of designated areas, including entrances, exits, parking facilities, and other key points, by actively monitoring these spaces.

Seeking a candidate with a minimum of five years of experience in project management, preferably within the technology sector. The ideal applicant must possess a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as business administration or computer science. Strong leadership skills are essential, along with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and deliver projects on time and within budget. Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA or Trello is required, along with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Experience with budget management, risk assessment, and stakeholder engagement is also necessary.

Minimum educational requirement includes SSC or WAEC certification.

Professional experience in security operations, ideally within a healthcare environment, will be viewed favorably.

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, alongside strong interpersonal competencies, are essential for fostering effective collaboration and building productive relationships in a professional setting.

Demonstrates composure and maintains a professional demeanor in high-pressure or emergency situations.

Capable of maintaining physical fitness and endurance to perform prolonged standing, walking, and patrol duties.

Consistently demonstrates integrity, reliability, and attentiveness, with a strong commitment to dependability in all responsibilities.

Excellent proficiency in producing well-structured, precise reports with meticulous attention to detail is required.
