Oversee and execute critical duties essential to the role, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and maintaining high standards of performance. Operate the cash register with precision and efficiency.

Process payments received via cash, checks, point-of-sale systems, credit cards, and debit cards efficiently and accurately.

Handle all return and exchange requests efficiently, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies throughout each transaction.

Verify that all pricing and inventory counts are correct and issue a receipt to each customer.

Prepare and issue invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to clients.

Manage the point-of-sale (POS) system with precision and efficiency to ensure seamless transaction processing. Handle customer payments, process refunds, and manage sales entries while maintaining accurate records. Troubleshoot any system errors promptly to minimize disruptions in service. Provide training to new staff members on POS operations and best practices to ensure consistent performance. Monitor sales data and generate reports as needed to support operational decision-making. Ensure compliance with company policies and security protocols when handling transactions and customer information. Maintain a high level of attention to detail to prevent errors and ensure a smooth checkout experience.

Candidates must fulfill several essential prerequisites to be considered for this role. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required, and a minimum of five years of professional experience in a comparable position is mandatory. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is also necessary, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Additionally, excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—are expected, alongside the capacity to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

An OND qualification is the minimum educational requirement for this position.

A minimum of one to three years of practical retail experience is preferred, though not mandatory.

Proficiency in fundamental computer operations and familiarity with various electronic devices, including cash registers, scanners, and money counters, are required.

Effective communication abilities and proficient time management are essential for this role.

The position offers a monthly remuneration of ₦80,000.
