The Child Rights and Responsible Business Intern will provide assistance to International Alert’s initiatives at the junction of child rights, responsible business conduct, business and human rights, and private sector engagement.

The position demands a professional equipped with robust research and analytical capabilities, a commitment to client service excellence, and the aptitude to cultivate constructive partnerships with enterprises, industry stakeholders, governmental bodies, civil society entities, and development collaborators.

The intern will support the execution of programs, foster stakeholder relationships, expand business partnerships, conduct policy evaluations, manage knowledge dissemination, organize training initiatives, and devise actionable strategies that enable companies to recognize, mitigate, and resolve risks to children’s rights across their operations, supply chains, and neighboring communities.

Oversee a comprehensive range of critical functions, including strategic planning, team leadership, and operational execution, to ensure organizational success. Serve as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders, facilitating communication and alignment across departments. Manage project portfolios, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources efficiently while maintaining strict adherence to deadlines and budget constraints. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance productivity and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Program Support is responsible for providing essential administrative and operational assistance to ensure the smooth functioning of projects and initiatives. Additionally, Program Support handles logistical arrangements, maintains records, and assists in monitoring progress to ensure adherence to timelines and objectives.
