Develop and execute the Compliance Monitoring calendar to ensure full coverage of designated areas.
Offering compliance advisory services to business units and operational teams across designated branches.
Responsible for organizing and implementing Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Counter-Financing of Terrorism (CFT) training programs, as well as fostering compliance awareness at the branch level.
Conducting transaction monitoring within the FCC-ECM anti-money laundering module, identifying and escalating suspicious transactions for additional evaluation and regulatory reporting.
Performing on-site audits and evaluations throughout the Branch to gauge the extent of adherence to voluntary compliance standards.
Conducting routine evaluations of branch operations to identify compliance risks and devising corrective action strategies to address identified issues.
Monitor compliance implementation at branch level, overseeing the execution of corrective actions and promptly elevating unresolved issues to the Branch Management team and the Head of Compliance Monitoring and Reporting, utilizing the support of Zonal Compliance Officers (Zoos) and Area Compliance Coordinators (Acts).
Quarterly on-site inspections are conducted at bank agents’ locations to ensure adherence to anti-money laundering (AML) and combating the financing of terrorism (CFT) regulatory obligations.
Periodically conduct branch visits to ensure compliance with Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations.
Conducting systematic assessments of significant cash transactions is essential to verify their consistency with customer profiles, identify irregular cash deposits, and promptly report suspicious activities in accordance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Financing of Terrorism (CFT) regulations, as well as internal protocols.
The process involves verifying the completeness and accuracy of Know Your Customer (KYC) documentation for customer accounts and subsequently issuing KYC certificates specifically for loan-related transactions.
Conduct thorough reviews of customer accounts to verify the completeness and accuracy of Know Your Customer (KYC) information, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Subsequently, prepare and issue official KYC certificates to facilitate limit enhancement requests, maintaining meticulous documentation throughout the process.
Ensuring the onboarding of all Identified Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) accounts adheres to proper PEP protocols.
Responsibilities include overseeing the timely completion of regularization for all high-risk accounts that have KYC exceptions.
Promptly escalating all detected suspicious activities observed during transaction monitoring for immediate reporting to the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU).
Responsible for addressing and resolving inquiries as well as approval requests related to all compliance matters that require the attention of the ACO.
To guarantee the attainment of monthly targeted branch reviews for all branches within the assigned Cluster.

Managing incoming requests from Law Enforcement Agencies (Leas) to ensure prompt and compliant responses.
– Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related quantitative field required.
– 3+ years’ experience analyzing large datasets using tools such as SQL, Python, or R.
