Job Summary
An accomplished Quantity Surveyor is required to oversee project expenditures, develop detailed cost estimates, track budgetary allocations, and guarantee the economical and efficient completion of projects.
Oversee and execute a range of critical duties, including managing project timelines, coordinating team efforts, and ensuring adherence to company policies. Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance operational efficiency while maintaining high standards of quality and performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and drive innovation. Serve as a key liaison between departments, fostering clear communication and alignment on organizational goals. Monitor progress through regular evaluations and provide actionable feedback to support continuous growth and development. Additionally, maintain meticulous documentation and reporting to track performance metrics and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Develop comprehensive cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQ’s), and tender documentation.
Track expenditures, oversee budget allocations, and analyze financial discrepancies throughout project lifecycles.
Assess contractor claims and payment certificates to verify accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.
Perform comprehensive quantity take-offs and detailed cost analysis to ensure accurate project estimation and budget preparation.
Deliver projects in strict adherence to allocated budgets and contractual obligations.
Develop and finalize project cost reports as well as comprehensive final accounts.
The position necessitates a minimum of three years of experience in a similar role, along with proficiency in relevant software tools and strong analytical abilities. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field and demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills. Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards is essential, as are the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines. The ideal applicant will exhibit adaptability, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
A bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent discipline is required.
Experienced professionals with a minimum of three to five years dedicated to construction project management are sought.
Proficient in cost estimation, the preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and the oversight of contract administration processes.
Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Excel and specialized quantity surveying software applications.
Proficient in analytical reasoning, negotiation tactics, and clear communication is essential.
