Perform comprehensive pre-installation site evaluations to obtain precise final measurements, assess site readiness—including wall alignment, floor planarity, and power outlet locations—and validate these parameters against factory cutting lists to mitigate the risk of installation discrepancies.
Oversee on-site operations by directing and managing the daily tasks of installers, carpenters, technicians, and temporary laborers. Distribute assignments strategically to sustain peak productivity levels while guaranteeing adherence to high-quality craftsmanship standards.
Logistics & Material Management: Ensure the secure unloading and proper structural handling of finished furniture components at the project site. Verify that all delivered items correspond with the delivery manifest to confirm the presence of all necessary parts, hardware, and components without omission.
Progressive quality control and defect resolution require thorough inspections of installations to confirm flawless alignment, smooth joints, secure hardware fittings, and absence of scratches. Any deviations, including factory defects or on-site damages, must be meticulously documented, and rapid replacement solutions coordinated with the IKEA production team.
Ensure strict adherence to project timelines to guarantee on-time delivery. Prepare and submit daily and weekly progress reports in a structured format, supplemented by detailed photographic evidence, for distribution to the Project Manager and Head of Production.
As the primary on-site company representative, you will foster strong client and main-contractor relationships by addressing client feedback and resolving complaints with professionalism. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with main civil contractors, MEP engineers, and site architects to ensure seamless coordination and prevent structural clashes.
Requirements
HND or B.Sc. in Building Technology, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or a comparable technical field is required.
With a proven track record spanning three to five years, you bring extensive hands-on expertise in site supervision, carpentry installation, fit-out project management, or finishing works, specifically within the furniture manufacturing or interior design industries.
Proficient in analyzing and interpreting intricate architectural drawings, structural layouts, assembly diagrams, and 3D floor plans. Demonstrates strong expertise in utilizing fundamental digital tracking tools, including WhatsApp reporting, Excel spreadsheets, and photo-logging applications.
Proficient in precise measurement techniques and possesses comprehensive knowledge of structural site variables, including plumb lines, levels, and the effects of moisture.
Health & Safety: Demonstrates a strong grasp of on-site safety regulations and rigorously upholds Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) compliance standards for all site personnel.
