JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced and driven Solar Installation Officer with a minimum of two years of experience in the renewable energy industry. The successful applicant will oversee the installation, commissioning, and upkeep of solar photovoltaic systems across residential, commercial, and industrial applications. This position demands a solid technical background, meticulous precision, and the capacity to collaborate effectively in both solo and team settings.

Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to company standards, managing and motivating a team of employees to meet performance targets, and developing strategic initiatives to drive business growth. Additionally, the role entails analyzing financial data to identify trends and opportunities for cost reduction, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Responsible for implementing and monitoring key performance indicators, preparing detailed reports for senior management, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align business objectives with operational practices. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to changing market conditions while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.

Install, inspect, and maintain photovoltaic (PV) systems, ensuring full compliance with all applicable codes and industry standards.

Develop and execute solar system designs and schematics with precision, ensuring alignment with project specifications and industry standards.

Perform in-person evaluations to ascertain system specifications and the practicality of installation.

Collaborate with project engineers, electricians, and contractors to guarantee precise and timely installations.

Conduct thorough troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on photovoltaic (PV) systems whenever necessary to ensure optimal functionality and performance.

Uphold adherence to all safety protocols and established organizational policies to maintain a secure and compliant work environment.

Maintain meticulous documentation of installations performed, materials utilized, and service-related actions executed.

Deliver expert guidance and training to clients regarding system operations and maintenance procedures.

Requirements:

Requires at least one year of practical engagement in solar photovoltaic (PV) installation or another renewable energy-related discipline.

Hold an associate or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical field.

Demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge of solar photovoltaic (PV) system components, wiring configurations, and applicable safety standards, including the National Electrical Code (NEC) and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) guidelines.

Proficient in analyzing and comprehending technical drawings and electrical schematics with precision and clarity.

Demonstrates proficiency in utilizing tools, equipment, and testing instruments essential to solar installation processes.

Proficiency in hybrid systems, battery storage technologies, or solar water heating systems is required.

Relevant certifications—such as NAB CEP or PV Installation Professional—are advantageous to candidates.

Demonstrates exceptional proficiency in analytical thinking and meticulous attention to detail.

Good physical fitness and ability to work at heights or in various outdoor conditions.
