Position summary
The Skilled Laundry Presser performs pressing, ironing, and finishing of garments and linens to meet professional quality standards. This position demands proficiency in operating a variety of fabrics and finishing machinery to achieve crisp, wrinkle-free outcomes while ensuring items remain undamaged. An accomplished presser balances efficiency with meticulous attention to detail and maintains a keen focus on presentation.

Using a variety of tools, including hand irons, steam presses, form finishers, and specialized pressing equipment, garments and linens are pressed, ironed, and finished meeting quality standards.
Determine the appropriate temperature, pressure, and steam parameters for each fabric type to prevent scorching, shine, or damage.
Manage delicate, structured, and high-value garments—such as suits, dress shirts, pleated, and tailored items—using specialized techniques to ensure their preservation and presentation.
Conduct thorough examinations of garments before and after the pressing process to identify any stains, damage, or imperfections, and initiate rewashing or stain treatment for items requiring correction.
Execute precise creases, pleats, and folds in strict accordance with established specifications.
Ensure all completed products adhere to established quality benchmarks and are meticulously arranged—whether hung, folded, or packaged—prior to shipment or return.
Responsible for the upkeep of pressing machinery, including conducting regular cleaning tasks and making minor adjustments as needed. Additionally, promptly escalate any operational issues or malfunctions to the appropriate personnel for resolution.
Ensure production targets and turnaround times are consistently met without sacrificing quality standards.
Maintain a clean, orderly work environment that adheres to established health and safety regulations.
Ensure strict adherence to all specified handling protocols and uphold confidentiality standards as mandated.
Candidates are required to reside within the Secular or Saba areas.
