KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the maintenance and organization of daily financial records and ensure accurate bookkeeping practices are consistently applied.
Monitor revenue streams, expenditures, and disbursements from the platform.
Compile and finalize monthly financial statements in accordance with established accounting principles and company standards, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to regulatory requirements. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and key performance indicators, providing insights to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. Distribute reports to stakeholders, including management and relevant departments, while maintaining strict confidentiality and data integrity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information, reconcile discrepancies, and validate figures before submission. Leverage financial software and tools to streamline reporting processes, enhance data visualization, and improve overall productivity.
Process, verify, and execute invoices and vendor payments accurately and in a timely manner.
Ensure the integrity and precision of digital accounting records are consistently upheld.
Provide support in developing and managing budgets as well as conducting financial forecasting to ensure accurate and strategic financial planning.
Ensure adherence to established internal financial control measures and regulatory standards, maintaining meticulous oversight of financial activities to uphold organizational integrity and accuracy.
REQUIREMENTS
A bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) or higher national diploma (HND) in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline is required.
A minimum of one to three years of professional accounting experience is required, whether obtained in a virtual or office-based setting.
Proven expertise in utilizing Excel and Google Sheets is essential, with a strong ability to create, manage, and analyze complex spreadsheets efficiently.
Proficiency in utilizing accounting software platforms, such as QuickBooks and Zoho Books, is required.
Demonstrated ability to maintain meticulous attention to detail while upholding the highest standards of confidentiality is essential.
Demonstrates strong self-motivation and the capacity to manage tasks competently without requiring constant oversight. Exhibits reliability in meeting deadlines and maintaining productivity while operating autonomously. Thrives in environments where autonomy is valued, ensuring consistent performance and accountability for individual responsibilities.
