The Payroll Executive will oversee the entire process of employee compensation, from initial calculation to final disbursement. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries, bonuses, and deductions while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. They are responsible for ensuring wages are processed accurately and promptly, managing statutory deductions and taxes, and upholding compliance with all relevant local labor and employment regulations.

Core Responsibilties

Administer comprehensive payroll operations, encompassing monthly, bi-weekly, or weekly cycles, with meticulous calculation of base compensation, bonuses, overtime earnings, and applicable deductions.

Responsibilities include overseeing and entering payroll data into HR and payroll software, specifically for new hires, terminations, promotions, and leave records.

Ensure that wage calculations and tax withholdings adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local government regulations.

Prepare payroll reports, balance payroll accounts, and support audit processes and variance analysis efforts.

Serve as the primary liaison for employees to address and rectify payroll discrepancies, resolve payment delays, and provide answers to compensation-related inquiries.

Key Responsibilites

Efficient processing of all Payroll transactions is ensured.

Statutory deductions are calculated and processed accurately, ensuring full compliance with applicable tax and regulatory requirements.

Drafting Credit and Debit Notes, ensuring accuracy in the amounts and reasons for issuance.

The payslips are prepared meticulously to ensure accuracy and timeliness in processing financial records for employees. This involves compiling and verifying data such as hours worked, deductions, and tax information before generating the final documents. Attention to detail is essential to avoid discrepancies and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Timely distribution of payslips is also a key responsibility to support employee transparency and trust in payroll processes.

Preparing and managing invoices constitutes a key responsibility, ensuring accurate documentation of transactions and adherence to financial protocols.

Responsibilities include verifying that invoices align precisely with corresponding payments and recorded expenses to maintain accuracy.

Overseeing the Company’s accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.

Draft and distribute bills and invoices to clients in a timely and accurate manner to ensure prompt payment processing and maintain clear financial records.

Accurately recording and managing all organizational expenditures is essential. This includes meticulous documentation of company spending to ensure financial transparency and accountability.

Investigating and correcting discrepancies in payroll processing to ensure accurate and timely compensation for employees.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field required. Minimum of three years of professional experience in software development. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Experience with Agile methodologies and version control systems like Git. Excellent written and verbal communication skills needed for collaboration across teams. Familiarity with databases and SQL queries is essential. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting.

Accumulated three to five years of experience in account management within a distinguished organization.

Residing within short distances of the Iota Complex and VGC Leak in Lagos is required.

A strong candidate will demonstrate initiative, meticulous attention to detail, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
