The Packing Plant Operator oversees the seamless and productive functioning of machinery and processes in the cement packing facility. This position entails verifying that cement is accurately packed, measured, and shipped in alignment with production goals, all while upholding stringent safety protocols, quality benchmarks, and workplace cleanliness standards.
Oversee and execute a range of critical duties and responsibilities, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and operational standards. Drive key initiatives by managing tasks with precision, fostering collaboration across teams, and maintaining high levels of efficiency and accountability. Perform essential functions that contribute to strategic goals, while adhering to established policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Monitor progress, evaluate outcomes, and implement improvements to enhance productivity and performance. Serve as a pivotal point of contact, facilitating clear communication and coordination to support seamless operations and achieve desired results.
To guarantee the fulfillment of the packing target, which stands at 750 metric tons of cement per twelve-hour shift, meticulous planning and execution are required.
At the commencement of each shift, you will report to the Shift Manager to obtain detailed instructions and work assignments.
Ensure seamless operational continuity by conducting thorough shift handover and takeover procedures.
Operate packing plant machinery, including packers and autoloaders, with efficiency, preferably utilizing automatic (auto) mode.
Consistently monitor the weight of cement bags to ensure compliance with the 50 kg specification, and promptly notify the Supervisor of any discrepancies.
Ensure rejected or damaged bags are systematically organized and labeled in specified areas to mitigate contamination risks and prevent loss.
Ensure the packing area is staffed at all times; the workstation must remain attended throughout operations.
Prior to departing the work area for any reason, ensure authorization has been granted.
Maintain a clean and safe workspace by promptly removing rejected materials and upholding high standards of housekeeping.
Perform regular equipment inspections and promptly notify the Shift Supervisor or Maintenance team of any mechanical or process-related malfunctions.
Facilitate seamless communication and a structured handover process to the incoming operator as the shift concludes.
Ensure strict compliance with all organizational policies and safety protocols, encompassing ISO Management Systems such as QMS, EMS, and OHSA.
Requirements
A relevant technical qualification such as WAS, GCE, SSC, or Trade Test I, II, or III in fields like Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance is required.
Seeking candidates with 2 to 9 years of hands-on experience in cement packing, manufacturing processes, or industrial operations.
Proficient in interpreting, composing, and adhering to standard operating procedures with precision and clarity.
Effective interpersonal communication and collaborative abilities are essential.
Able to perform manual and technical tasks with physical fitness and strength.
Possesses a keen eye for detail and a steadfast commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
